Marilyn Ann Lee

LEE, MARILYN ANN (BOFINK) Age 80, of Spring Arbor, went to Heaven on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Center. Marilyn was the daughter of Frederick Carl and Marguerite (Beck) Bofink born on January 10, 1934 in Jackson, MI. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee. Richard and Marilyn recently celebrated 59 years of marriage. Marilyn loved her husband and family with all her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves behind her daughter, Sharon (Peter) and her son, Thomas; four grandchildren, Marguerite, Andrew, Zachariah, and Noah. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Richard Lee, and her parents. Marilyn was a gifted violinist with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra for 25 years. She was a violin teacher for 40 years, and brought music to the lives of many students. She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jackson, MI. She will be missed, but never, ever forgotten. Marilyn lives in our hearts! A celebration of her life will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 16, at 10 AM, Reverend Galen Grulke officiating, interment Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 122 W. Wesley St, Jackson, MI 49201 or Southern Care Hospice, 1965 Boardman Rd., Suite B, Jackson, MI 49202. The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel on Tuesday April 15, from 6-8 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM.
