WALTER BAER Obituary
Age 87, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Heritage Valley Sewickley. He was born in Utahville, PA to the late Walter Edwin and Maria Erma (Fry) Baer. On November 17, 2003, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores (Eckelberry) Baer. Loving father of Donna J. Kozlik, Mark E. (Lynn) Baer and Timothy J. (Colleen) Baer, all of Moon Township; cherished grandfather of Timothy C. (Kristin) Baer, Megan L. Daugherty, Mitchell A. and Patrick S. Baer, and Matthew G. Kozlik; proud great- grandfather of Jayna and Hailey. Walter served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of the Coraopolis United Methodist Church and F & AM Coraopolis Lodge #674. He was a trades instructor and machinist at the State Corrections, Pittsburgh Forgings and Pittsburgh Gear. Visitation Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. (Masonic Service Friday at 7:30 p.m.), at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., where Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Pastor Dean Ziegler will officiate. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery with military honors.
