Donna Mae Furlo

FURLO, DONNA MAE Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at her home. Age 87 years. Daughter of the late Albert and Iva (King) Christensen, Donna was born May 30, 1927 in Saginaw, MI. She was married to Anthony Furlo in 1951. He predeceased her in 1973. Donna was employed at GM Delphi for 17 years and was a member of U.A.W. Local #699. She was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post #1566 Ladies Auxiliary. Donna was an avid Tiger Fan and especially enjoyed being with her family. Surviving are three sons, Tony and Sherrie Furlo, Saginaw; Michael Furlo and his wife Marianne Woods, Saginaw; Thomas Furlo, Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Carol Furlo, Saginaw; six grandchildren, Allison (Eric) Furlo-Funka, Alana Furlo, Corey Furlo, Megan Furlo, Mackenzie Furlo and Andrew Furlo; three great-grandchidren, Jake, Luke and Lauren Funka ; two brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Christensen and Larry (Barbara) Christensen; several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and James (Rusty) Furlo; three sisters and two brothers, Betty Mehl, June Griffus, Shirley Dowd, James and Edward Christensen. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. William Taylor will officiate assisted by Deacon Roger Pasionek. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Sunday from 1-7 PM and on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 10 AM until time of Mass. The family will pray the Rosary at 4:30 PM and a Vigil Service will take place 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
