I just found out today that Howard had passed away and it made me so sad. I was so inspired by Howard. He would come into Muskegon Charter Township Hall and I so enjoyed talking with him. He always had a smile on his face. Thank you Howard for being such an inspiration to so many people. You will be missed.

Uncle Howard---He and my Grandmother (Clara - and his only sister), were lifelong close friends and were very much alike. They both had contagious laughs and a positive attitude about life. I know Howard had many challenges during his long life, but he always seemed to return to a happy place. I think of him as a remarkable man that I was proud to say he was my Uncle. We need many more people like him on this earth. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his close family. He will be very missed....

I met Howard as he rode his bike through our neighborhood. He was a patriotic man flying the USA Flag on the back of his bike. One day as he stopped to watch the builders set the rafters on another condo, I stopped to talk to him. That was our 1st encounter. We probably had 6 or 7 more opportunities that summer to share conversation. This man was a great inspiration as I listened to his stories. He loved his life and his family. Thank you for your brief moment in my life. I will always remember you. RIP Howard and I send my prayers to his family.
