Even though Nancy seemed like a feisty lady; in my opinion, her kindness, generosity and curiosity were unparelled. I got to know Nancy when visiting with my sister Stephanie in Vancouver. My condolences to her wonderful family. Virginia Bilinsky Winnipeg

Lovely Nancy, Robbie Burns dinner hostess, who knew that a wee glass of Scotland's best beverage helped the haggis go down for us novice haggis eaters. Master baker of oat cakes and shortbread, lucky us when she would produce a little present just as one was about to leave the party. Our condolences to the family. Nancy was a special person indeed.

My condolences to Nancy's family. She was a lovely person and will be missed by many. She was first my Mothers friend and then mine. They lived in the same building until Mom had to move to long term care. Nancy continued to visit Mom even when Mom could no longer recall exactly who Nancy was or the details of their friendship. The three of us would have a visit and chat and a very good time together. She spoke of her life, her many travels and her wonderful family that she got so much pleasure from. I will miss those chats and Nancy's lovely accent. She was a loyal friend. I was very fond of her for herself and will be forever grateful for her continued concern for my Mom as Mom's memory fades. That's the sign of a true blue friend, the best kind of person.

We are saddened by Nancys passing, although, when I think of Nancy, I often remember the story that Jack likes to tell of the time he had Euan on the bus heading up Lonsdale from the sea bus,and as they drove up the hill Jack pointed out to Euan, isn't that your mother walking up the hill, as Euan sits comfortably on the bus, whenever you met Nancy on the street, you were always greeted with a smile and a hug.

We are both very saddened about Nancy's passing as we considered Nancy a very dear friend. With a wee grin of a young Scottish lass, Nancy was always one to listen and of course voiced her opinion as only she could. She had a kind way of making us both feel important and part of her extended family. May the many memories we all have to cherish bring comfort in the days to come. Sincerely, Eddie and Mary
