van ROODEN, Herman:
Passed away peacefully at Oakwoods Hospital, on June 15, 2017. Loved husband of Johanna (Hanny). Loved dad of Corrie and John McCardle, Edna and Daryl MacLean, Carolyne and Noel Huston, Frank and Jannette van Rooden, Anne and Robin Richards, Wayne (Fritz) and Rhonda van Rooden. Cherished grandad to 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Herman's life will be held at St Peter and Paul's Church, cnr Waimea West Rd and Moutere Hwy, on Wednesday, June 21, at 10.00am, followed by interment at the church cemetery.

To all the family, my deepest sympathy and prayers in learning the death of Herman only today Tuesday. I visited Herman in Nelson Hospital just the other week and had a lovely chat with him. Am not able to be with you on Wednesday morning due to parish commitments but will offer Mass for Herman at 9-30am at St Francis Church here in Stoke - Father Bill Wawrick
