So sorry to hear the passing of Jimmy, a real true gentleman. I have known him for many years, he was my son's soccer coach along with Alan and Bill.We were closely associated as we were both in the electrical trade, also my son worked with Jimmy at the school board, where he was an excelant supervisor. The last time that I saw him was in our doctors office about a year ago. We are sorry that we were not around at the time as we were on our way to Florida. Our thoughts go out to his family

So sad to hear the news
Bumped into Jimmy just a couple of months ago watching his grandson playing footie
Had a good chat with him and seemed reconciled to his fate
Typically Jimmie
Hard nosed as was his footie
Always a battle on the field which was how it should be
Played against him many times
Still got some of the bruises
Will be missed by many

So sorry to hear the sad news... Jimmy was instrumental in the early beginnings of the Port Mann Soccer League. I had the pleasure of playing with & against Jim through the years. A gentleman on and off the field.

Met Jimmy back in the Whalley United days. He was coaching his son Alex and I brought my son Marc to join. We had a great time. Little did I know that I would end up playing with Brittania and getting to know his brothers, Alan and Billy. It was a privilege. Some of my fondest memories playing football was with, Brittania and the hours we spent in the changing rooms, after the game with a bevy or two.
Jimmy along with his brothers, they were the life's blood of Brittania. Jimmy, Played, Coached, Managed, was the raffle organizer, Water Bottle man and kit man. He would even line the fields and put up the nets.
He was an unselfish, giving and caring man.
It was my complete privilege to have known him.
He was a lovely person and much loved.
He loved his family, friends and he truly cared for people.
He will be missed, but never forgotten.
Thanks for the memories Jimmy.
You were a special person.
An honest man, here lies at rest,
As e'er God, with his image bless.
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age and guide of youth.
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm'd,
Few heads with knowledge so inform'd.
If there's another world, he lives in bliss,
If there is none, he made the best of this.
