Boensch, Dana Lee 4/1/1943 - 5/16/2018 Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, May 16 2018. Age 75 years. The daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Crowley) Billy, Dana was born April 1, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Richard B. Boensch on September 8, 1962. He predeceased her November 18, 2009. Dana was a hairdresser in the Saginaw Area for 50 years. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Dana enjoyed playing cards, quilting, gardening, camping, traveling and especially being very involved with her grandchildren. Surviving are one daughter, two sons and their spouses, Jeff and Lori Boensch, Saginaw; Steve and Sheila Boensch, St. Charles; Lara Schultz and her fiance Chico Kennedy, Saginaw; 12 grandchildren, Amelia (Kyle), Nick, Rose, Lexie, Hayden, Colin, William, Landon, Olivia, Madison, Karly and Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Josephine, Eliza and Luca; her sister, Georgia and Mark Hickner, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Dana was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Billy. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. John Paul II Parish, St Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Christine Gretka CSJ, will take place 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
