So sad to hear of Fr. Barkenquest passing. I have such great memories of him both as a principal and my wrestling coach. I wish I would have reached out to him. RIP Father, you are missed!

Thank you Father Barkenquest for everything you have done for the kids around you. If it was not for you and your belief that we all should receive affordable Catholic education we wanted I would never have been able to Attend DeSales High School. Thank you for your huge heart and dedication you will be sorely missed. Class of '86

Janice and family, we are very sorry for the loss of your brother and uncle. He was a great man of God.
January 4, 1969, Fr. Lehr married us. He said that we were his first wedding. We were so honored to have him officiate the Mass and wedding. Our daughter Jen and grandchildren Canyon and Riley attend St. Rita's, and felt so at home because he was their pastor. He will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Fr. Lehr's entire family.
His good works as a priest on this earth were truly monumental and Holy Spirit driven! I so appreciated his help, insight, and extreme intelligence. He answered a great many of my own questions and those about this world's overwhelming problems. May he rest in Eternal Peace and may Perpetual Light shine upon him!
