Bettye Norment Obituary

Bettye Joyce Norment, 81, of Meridianville, passed away Saturday. Mrs. Norment was a pharmacist in Huntsville for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Madison County Chief Deputy Charlie Norment. Survivors include her two sons, Timothy Charles Norment (Laura Janine Norment) and Michael Norment; two grandchildren, Kristin Leigh Winford (Wesley) and Erica Jacobs; and one great-grandchild, Kylie Jacobs. Visitation will be Friday, August 9th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by graveside service at 2:30 at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Norment many years ago when my daughter was young and we lived in the Davis Hills area. She filled many prescriptions for me and I always trusted her advise. Many years later when I worked for WAFF-TV, I met her son Tim who was and is an engineer there. One day she walked in with him and I was delighted to recognize and again thank her for being part of our live. She was a lovely lady.
