Douglas UNSWORTH Obituary
Douglas Charles:
Passed away peacefully with family at his side on January 9, 2021, in Nelson, in his 87th year. Dearly loved husband of 'Betty'; loved Dad of Mark (deceased), Nicki, and Grant and Liz; and adored 'Pop' of Jason, Charlotte, Lucy, and Georgia. Doug's family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care provided by 'the Wood'. The funeral service to celebrate Doug's life will be held in the Marsden House Funeral Chapel, 41 Nile Street, Nelson, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 1.30pm.

Dear Betty and Grant
I am so sorry to read that Doug has passed away, I know that he will be sorely missed. I stopped and spoke with him in Bridge street recently and he was buying sweets for the grandchildren!
I have spoken with dad about the funeral and he cannot bring himself to attend, he is finding it pretty tough having lost so many friends recently. He remembers Doug fondly and all their happy times together at the Club, harness racing and the 'Half Crown Club" get togethers.
