Patricia Goodwin

Goodwin, Patricia Mrs. Patricia A. Goodwin (Meholic), age 85 of Irons, went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, her parents Rosella and Andrew Meholic, her sisters Virginia Conklin and Mary Catherine Meholic and special grandson Ronald Zimmer II. Surviving are: her children Robert Goodwin Jr., Ann (Ron) Zimmer, and Bill Goodwin; grandchildren Chris (Becky) Goodwin, Rob (Stacey) Goodwin, Rachel Parks, Ruth (Greg) Williams, Samantha Goodwin (Jason); great grandchildren Jacob and Kylie Zimmer (their mother Holly Zimmer), Callen, Danica and Natalie Goodwin, Nicholas and Claire Goodwin, Braxton and Chloe Williams and Ty; her siblings Dr. Andrew (Judy) Meholic and Irene Meholic; special friends Michelle and Mick of Hawaii; many relatives and friends. Pat graduated from Catholic Central and from Mount Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids. Following her graduation she was employed throughout her life in various nursing positions. She was the Director of Nursing at Ferguson Hospital and Health Inspector for the State of Michigan. Upon her retirement, Pat continued to be actively involved in the community. She volunteered for 10 years at the Kids Food Basket of Grand Rapids. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and going to shows to show off her work. Pat and Bob enjoyed going to Maui during the winter months. Pat's family always came first and she spent a lot of time with them. Pat attended their school events and sporting activities when she could. Her family was her life and she will be missed by all of them. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 14 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's, Marne, where the family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kids Food Basket of Grand Rapids in her name.
