Clarence Houston Obituary
Born in Mecklenburg County, N.C., he was the son of the late Edward Houston and the late Ada Mickle Houston.
Survivors include his children, Anthony Forney of Stanley, N.C., Donna William Houston of Englewood, N.J., Clarence W. Houston Jr. of Middletown, N.Y., and Sonya Houston of Lancaster; stepchildren, Cynthia Pressley, Angela Smith and Louie "Ray" Forney, all of Charlotte, James Forney of Virginia and Eric Forney of South Carolina; brother, Edward "PeeWee" Houston of Charlotte; and sister, Willie Mae Switzer of Charlotte.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Crawford Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen, with burial at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Viewing is 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Crawford Funeral Home, and 9 a.m. until the service on Thursday, May 6.
