Dorothy Hardwick Obituary
Dorothy Louise Hardwick, 85, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born Jan. 26, 1939, in Findlay, to Charles and Bertha (Deckerhoff) Workman. In 1975, she married Billy Hardwick and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy retired from Blanchard Valley School where she worked as a teacher's aide for several years. She also worked at The Glove Factory and Haines Candy Company throughout her life. Dorothy was a member of Findlay Moose Lodge #698, DAV, AMVETS Post 21, and 50 North. She attended Upper Room Church of God. She enjoyed craft shows, going out with girlfriends, walking outdoors, and being around people. Her cocker spaniels were her loves.
Those left behind to cherish Dorothy's memory are her daughter, Louise Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Floyd, Vaughn, and Carl Workman. She also had a brother, Jerry Gilbert, whom she loved dearly.
Visitation for friends and family will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, until the time of Dorothy's funeral at 11 a.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Bishop Terry McBeath will preside. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name can be made to Upper Room Church of God, 520 W. Bigelow Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
