Marianne, I can still see you hangin at the end of the counter at commuters. You were just getting off duty and you had your smile goin. And now it brings a smile to my face every time I think of you. (Which is often). Know you are loved and missed terribly and will never be forgotten. R.I.P.

Miss you my friend. Thank you for guiding me to you when I came to NYC. I had no idea where your name was. And yet I walked right to you as if I had been there many times. Love you! GIve mom and dad a hug for me.

We think of you often last year I took my kids to Disney and my son and I rode splash mountain back to back and I thought of how much fun we had just a few short weeks before 9/11 when we went to Disney together. I also just spoke of the time when you said ‘my friends and family won’t believe that I took you to Disney and the first ride you made me go on was the carousel’ miss you friend!

20 years, and it seems like yesterday. Marianne, I have thought of you so often over the years, random things. I have honored your spirit over the years and try to do random acts of kindness in memory of you. I am sure that your family misses you tremendously, and my heart breaks for them. I hope that your family finds comfort in how many lives you have touched in your brief time in this world, you certainly left a lasting impression on mine! I will never ever forget.

To Marianne’s Family-
It’s hard to believe 20 years is approaching since this horrific event took place. I think of you all often and hope that time has lessened your pain and you hold on to her wonderful spirit and the great memories you made together. Marianne was a kind and thoughtful soul. She is definitely flying high above us and getting the best view of Disney World!
And of course watching over all her loved ones always with her Dad right next to her. You are missed and thought of by many ! I will be by your memorial pole on Page Street Saturday to honor you as I have been in the past on this sad day. Thoughts and prayers - DeDe Moccia Cann

Hey, I bet you'll have a great X-mas above us.
But there were numerous gun tragedies the past year, as they've recently happened in NJ, Pensacola, even El paso in August. This Dec. 14th is the commemoration of the Sandy Hook tragedy seven years ago, as 20 children were killed. It was an awful day...

18 years-you come to mind randomly over that time but always strongly on every Sept 11th. Our lives and age working together at United..I always wonder about what could have been. What would have the last 18 years been like for you? I like to think it would have been like mine. Truly blessed, you were taken to soon. So much sooner than what should have been. I can't help but wonder what life really had in store for you. Gone but never forgotten. Till we meet again my friend. ❤❤

I knew Marianne through her brother Joseph . He went to school with my daughter and played Baseball at St. Marys with my son. We we talk at the ballpark. I went to New York to the 9-11 memorial and took picture of her Memorial . I think of her and especially on the Anniversary. I always post a remembrance on Face Book every year. She will never be forgotten .

Your name engraved forever in a black piece of metal wrapped around my wrist as a reminder to me and everyone I meet that you and all those whose lives ended physically that day, live on in the hearts of all of us! I pray God keeps your soul at peace knowing you have touched many lives in life as well as death. Marianne I WILL NEVER FORGET.... THANK-YOU.

I hope that Marianne's family will see this. I worked with Marianne at USAirways Express and roomed with her at our trainings and meetings. I was the Station Manager in Panama City, FL. I remember a meeting in Reading,PA....we all met for dinner at TGIF's and were playing games. We were singing showtunes, and Marianne being on my team, decides to yell out "STELLA"!!! The whole restaurant roared in laughter, and I called her that ever since. We all miss her, and send our love to your family enduring life each day without her. Her great smile and contagious giggle is forever sketched in my mind. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and always!!!

Marianne, I am thinking of you today as I do every year around this time and remembering the times we've spent together. I looked back to when I wrote on here 10 years ago and posted the picture of the two of us on splash mountain together. I remember that trip to disney like it was yesterday, so hard to believe that it was 10 years ago. You buying me mickey mouse shaped ice cream a few hours before we took off for florida and saying "get in the mood kid." You always had that fun loving attitude that made people want to be around you. I can't believe I actually got you to ride the merry-go-round as the first ride we went on at disney! On our flight to florida you gave me two little slot machine handheld games that you had bought because you were so excited about your trip to Vegas and I was so nervous about flying, you really helped calm my nerves but that's just how you were. You are missed greatly and the world is surely a lesser place without you in it.

Another year has rolled around, and we relive the pain, shock, tragedy and anger of that day in 2001. I think of Marianne often, and wonder how her family is doing. I cannot even begin to process grieving for a loved one who passed so tragically, but we are all remembering, especially on this weekend, the 10th anniversary of all those souls passing. Please know that we stand with you, in our own way, and send prayers to the heavens and ask for mercy and blessings for you.

Marianne, you are never far from my thoughts. Over the last 10 years I have always wondered what your life would have been like if not for that day. I know that you are an angel looking over your family that you loved so much, your friends that you loved as well. I try to keep your love for life, family and friends with me in my daily life. You were one of a kind and you are missed. Your legacy continues, your family and friends will always carry your spirit with them as well as I. I will hold my memories of you in my heart, and will be sure to tell my 4 year old son all about you as he learns about September 11th. You are truly an angel.

Marianne was my first co-worker in aviation in 1995. We trained together for a bit, then she decided to head back up north. My thoughts are with her family this week, as every week since 9/11. Still in aviation, and having worked that tragic day, she is never far from my thoughts.

On August 17, 2011 my husband and I left Manistee, MI to join 1719 other bikes in the America's 9/11 Foundation's Memorial motorcycle ride. People from across the country as well as from Canada and Australia made up the group of 2800. This is the largest police escorted ride. The funds raised go towards scholarships for children of first responders. This ride to remember and never forget is especially meaningful to us since my husband has been a professional fire fighter for 35 years. He is originally from upstate NY and that is where he began his career. At the beginning of the ride this year when we arrived in Somerset, PA to register, we were each given a card with the name of a person we would be riding in memory of. I was given the honor of riding in memory of Marianne.

On this past Sunday Sept. 12th my mother and I had the pleasure of having lunch with four of my mom's high school girlfriends from days gone by. Among those four girls was Marianne's mother Ann. I am forever greatful that God brought us together that day. A day that brought 9/11, Marianne and Ann personally close to my heart. Oddly, I work at the Twin Towers Jail in Los Angeles, Ca. which keeps 9/11 in my mind on a daily basis. Evil was working overtime that day...but we now have 3000 more Angels watching over us. Marianne and I have just met through the wonderful stories a mother tells of her child. I'd like to think that I now have a dear new friend here on earth and an even more wonderful one waiting to meet me in heaven. Thank-you Ann and more importantly I truly thank-you Marianne from the depth of my heart.

I never met Marianne but I listened to her big brother George talk about her and I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to know her. She seemed like a wonderful person who Loved life and her family & friends very much! In every picture I've seen of her she had that big beautiful smile & her eyes sparkled like diamonds, she was such a beautiful girl. Listening to the family talk about her and reading the tributes here makes me realize how much she was Loved and how deeply she touched everyone she came in contact with, the world is a much darker & sadder place without her but Heaven gained an angel. Her family will always have some to watch over them. Rest in Peace Marianne you will always be in my prayers. I'm proud to be able to say that I am part of your family.
