Remembering Timmy and Tommy, today and always.
Their father and my mother were cousins, and although my part of the family moved to NJ, everyone kept in touch. I think the last picture I have of all of us together was at my great Uncle Frank's 75th birthday!! Which would have been when we were all teenagers or younger!!
Just wanted to send loving thoughts and peaceful feelings to my family today, hoping you know you are all in our prayers. No matter the time or distance -- family is family. With love, Kathy.

Hello I am a nurse who participated in the Medina, OH Stephen Siller Tunnels to Towers 5k this past weekend. The firefighter I was honored to represent was Timothy Haskell. I have read stories about Tim as well as all the listed comments on this page and can't help but feel like I was given Tim for a reason. I admire you and your brother, Thomas for your unwavering bravery and sacrifice. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and all the other people who lost their lives on 9/11. I will never forget you. God bless ??
Scattered throughout the crowd, students held up the names of the hundreds of first responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

I am a teacher at Haverhill HIgh School. Tomorrow our school is having an outdoor ceremony in remembrance of lives lost on Sep 11. Name cards of firefighters were distributed to the classrooms. Timothy's name card was on my door. So I have read about Timothy's life and shared it with my students. Our class will proudly represent Timothy during the memorial services tomorrow. I hope that this gesture will bring honor to Timothy and his family.

Tim,
I guess you are up in heaven playing with Blaze, Bunker and Misty. I miss you, even now--I miss that amazing smile, the laughter--the good times. Although it's not fair that you left so soon, I'm certain that I'll see you again one day and it will be amazing. Keep watching over me. ????

Today my boyfriend, Cory did the stair climb in honor of Timothy. This took place in down town Kansas city. There was 343 fire fighters who did this climb in honor of all of those who lost their lives that day on September 11, 2001. The strength and pride of Americans is amazing, how we all unite.

I never knew of Timothy Haskell until this past week, then for some reason it seemed as though he was reaching out to me. I call it "the power of three"... three separate shows, that spanned almost a decade, I either saw or heard Timmy's name, or heard his story. Out of all the names of all the people... that I should "happen" upon his these three times seemed too big to be ignored. I hope his family knows that he is loving them, still. Memories work both ways. As you are remembering and honoring him, he is doing the same for you.

January 10, 2009
Greetings Timothy,
My name is Jeremiah Aherne and I am a volunteer at The Garden of Remembrance, Ringfinnan, Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland and a retired firefighter with Cork City Fire Brigade. I just wianted to let your family know that your Tree in the garden has be replaced with a new tree. Unfortunately the moist salt laden air from the sea did not serve some variety of trees too well and they did not thrive like other ones. We are confident that come summer all the trees will blossom forth in all their glory and give great comfort to the families and friends who will visit. This year I had the honour of placing a Christmas bauble on each of the 343 Trees in the garden and placed one by your name. I thought that it would be appropriate to write to you and tell you what we have been doing in the Garden of Remembrance.
Love and best wishes
Jeremiah Aherne

I grew up a few blocks from the Haskells and knew Tim and his brothers (And his dad who was quite the character)from the neighborhood.
They were all good kids who managed to keep their noses clean from alot of problems kids get involved with. It is no suprise that they followed in their Dad's footsteps.I'm sure they are up there with him now.
While life took me away from Seaford some years ago when this time of year comes around i take some time to think of them and what they stood for and the loss thats felt not only by fellow "vikings" but the country in general.
God bless them and their families.

In 2004 I was attending the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. I had the honor of meeting Timothy anad Thomas's Mother and enjoyed the conservation that we had. Before we moved on, she gave me pictures of her 2 son's. I keep these photo's near my desk, so that I can see them everyday, and reflect on the sacrifices they made that day, as well as what all people in emergency services do for us everyday.
For the Haskell Family, their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and everytime I visit the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, I make a special visit to their plaque to remember.

Tim; I know your youngest brother, Kevin. When I lost my precious Paul on 4/26/97, he became my youngest son big brother. My youngest, Richard is now a New York City Firefighter. His fire house had a dog & when he got hurt on 2/14/05; & had 2nd degree burns on the left side of his face, he brought the dog, Petey, to his home. He taught him to drop, roll after he asks him "what do you do Petey when there's a fire". I know you also taught your dog & probably showed Richard. You are a true hero, God Bless, NiurkaMaria

My deepest condolences to Timothy Haskell's family, a hero who will never be forgotten. Despite the fact that I didn't know anyone who lived in New York, my heart ached as the news unfolded that day. Your family is in my prayers. Even though it's been 2 years since this tragedy has happened my heart aches each & every day. I can't imagine the pain so unbearable you must feel. Just keep in mind that he is now looking down on each & everyone of you. It is because of people like him that people are saved each & every day.
God Bless America!!!

Being a Seaford resident, I knew the Haskell family only in somewhat brief instances. I graduated a year behind Kevin in 1991. What wonderful stories have surfaced in the face of this horrible tragedy. Stories of heartwarming and fond rememberances. These two were definately heroes. I truly believe the good Lord has a special place in Heaven for people like this. May God sustain their mom and family at this time, and always, as their memory and legacy live on.

The "Dude". Anyone who met Timmy loved him.I met him back in the late 80's, we became great friends a short time after that. The memories are endless; from four wheeling in Melville to speeding around in his boat (Boinger). He has made a huge impact in my life with advice he'd give, to just the ear he would give. The whole Haskell family is the epitiome of what a close and loving family should be. Always in my thoughts.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Haskell family for their terrible loss. I proudly wear a 9/11 bracelet bearing Tim's name while my Mother wore one with Thomas' name. Timmy, words can't express how much I miss u. When everybody was saying that my dog Benny was aggressive and needed strict punishment, u took him in your arms, looked him in the eyes and gained his trust. U taught me that love will heal and tame all things. Now Benny is friendly and full of love. U handled Benny as u handle all things - with patience and kindness. To say that u have taught me alot is an understatement. U are the superhero that I miss, love and treasure in my heart forever. Thank u for fighting for us.
Gabby, I miss u so much. I miss spending time with u and I miss having u as my friend. I hope that we can be friends again.

A permanent memorial will be built on the grounds of Seaford High School where Timmy and Tommy Haskell went to school. The 9-11 S.H.S. Memorial will be a comtemplative year-round garden and teaching plaza in memory of the five Seaford alumni who perished in the World Trade Center attack on September 11th. This will be a lasting tribute to Seaford High School's heroes and patriots of

I knew Tim a few years ago met at a bar on StPatrick's Day - I think I even got him on national TV for the firefighters calendar on Fox. Heaven is blessed to have him there...and we all miss him down here.

Timmy was Kenny's older brother and thats how I knew him. The Haskells were involved in Bronco football and thats where I met Kenny and Timmy. They knew me as Skippy Day. Even though he was only a little older he always was "Kenny's older brother" OOOO!!! You know that feeling being a kid and actually being spoken to by someone older. It was so cool to us that he would actually take time to"just hang out". Timmy commanded a presence at 10 years old. Now that I look back I realize there was something special about he and his family. We know now that he was put on this earth for something special, something great. He, his brother and all the FDNY made us proud and also helped us remember what a true hero is. As hundreds scampered out of the buildings in fear they were bravely running in to help. To Kenny and the rest of the Haskell family I offer you my prayers. God has two new friends and I bet they are all planning how they can put out the fires of hell.

I first met Timmy in 1992 when he was working at the "Ghostbusters" firehouse. He was such a special, sweet, careful person, though he did have his wild side. While we fell out of touch, I thought of him immediately on September 11th. My twins were born the next day. I have vowed to tell them about Timmy, who was dedicated to humanity, and teach them the best that Timmy had to offer. God bless the Haskells for giving the rest of us such a wonderful gift.

I saw you for the first time...There was a picture of you, your girlfriend and your pets in the New York times shortly after 9/11. I read your story and I felt a lump in my throat and my heart felt like it weighed a ton. I saved that article for my family to read as they are living in TX and most likely would never see it otherwise. When I found this Website I looked your name up immediately, along with your brother, Thomas. May God Bless you and everyone who died or suffered during that tragic day. We will NEVER forget.

What a wonderful way to teach children about fire safety as that which Timothy and Blaze shared. We thank Timothy and Thomas for all the lives they helped save as a firefighter. Such a dedication comes with a brave, warm and caring heart full of love for his fellow man. May Timothy's teaching skills he shared with Blaze continue helping children learn. May Timothy's and Thomas's lives and love live on in those who love them and in those who have been helped by them. Our hearts are tremendously sorry for your loss of Timothy and Thomas. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
