Will never forget my teammate/classmate and friend Wilk. Hope you are hanging with our other classmates Fernie and Kev and enjoying the view from above. Thank you again for being one of NYFD's Bravest. You continue to inspire us all with how to "Do the right thing" in our lives and made the ultimate sacrifice in helping others on that dreadful day in American history.
God Bless your wife and children, they have missed you so much.

Lt. Wilkinson,

As I wake up to another anniversary of that tragic day, I cannot help but to think of you and the ultimate sacrifice you have made. It reminds me that neither today or tomorrow is promised but individuals like you are there to give us a better chance of seeing our loved ones at the end of the day. I will never forget your sacrifice and will always wear your name on my wrist. God bless you, your family, and this great country we live in.

Lt. Wilkinson,

There are no words that can comfort this day. Many people made an ultimate sacrifice on this day years ago, one of those people were you. Wearing your name around my wrist reminds me to forever be grateful for what you did on this day. God Bless you, your family, and all those who were taken from us too soon.

Wilk - We continue to remember you and your first responder brothers who gave it all on this day 21 years ago. You have left us with a blueprint for how to cherish our family and friends. Hopefully, we all can live up to the example you set in your short time here with us. May God Bless all those who were closest to you. As always, continue to look over and protect the underdogs. Miss you Wilk. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!!!

Brother you are always in my heart. I have two boys now and watch them interact as brothers with cherished memories of our brotherhood. I have told them all about you, but it is tragic that one never met you and the other has only vague memories of your reading to him when he was three. I am forever grateful that you were my big brother. I am still learning life lessons through my memories of you.

Love,

Jim

Watching 20 year tributes on tv this evening. Feels like yesterday. The horror, the panic and confusion, and then the awful news that our loved ones , friends , and neighbors were among those lost.
The disbelief, the funerals , the grief that never ends. The way our nation , and our neighbors united as one and flew our flags high in the aftermath. Remembering today also all the men and women who lost their lives overseas fighting this war.
Your bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
We salute you and pray for your family.
Watch over us, Glenn . We need it more now than ever down here on earth.

The years pass, another anniversary of a dreadful day is recognized, and those memories still continue to haunt us all. The heroic acts from you and all of New York's bravest and finest are not forgotten my friend.
I know I have said this many times but it truly was an honor and a privilege to have you as a teammate, classmate and friend. You always stood up for the underdog and know you would continue to champion the charge to eliminate bullying from our society. You hated that type of behavior, I remember those deeds well, especially at an age when that type of peer pressure was at its pinnacle, but you always knew it was not right. You were bigger and better than that kind of meanness to another person. Another lesson learned from "The Wilk". Thank you for continuing to give us all the moral compass to do the right thing and honor your legacy.

Mrs Wilkinson I am sure you do not remember my husband and me but we helped you years ago out at river head I spent the day in the hospital with you waiting for your brother to come. The time I spent with you made me realize not only was your husband a hero but so were you by pulling your family together and continuing on. I think of you and your family often and want to thank your husband for sacrificing his life to help others. Prayers are with you

Lt. Wilkinson,

Another year has gone by. I continue to serve proudly and your name is still wrapped around my wrist. You would of been proud of your fellow firefighters in Houston risking their lives to save and help others. Was down there with the Marines and thought about you how you gave yours to save others. May your family continue to live strong and be blessed. You and your family continue to be in my prayers and always will.

May God continue to bless this great country of ours and bring peace to the world.

Hello again my friend - here we are, 15 years have gone by without you here with us. Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday we were banging the boards in the LMHS gym and now many of us are watching our grand kids run up and down the floor. We all know you would have relished in that role of grandpa, but heroes make sacrifices, and you my friend are just that, a true hero and leader of men. I consider myself very fortunate to call you my friend, my teammate, my classmate.
Thanks for being our guardian angel. Remembering you and all those heroes who paid the ultimate price on 911.

Mrs. Wilkinson,
I do not know you, and you do not know me. I did not know your husband, and he did not know me. However, last night at the BBP Senior Awards celebration your words made me feel that I could have known you both in another life, under other circumstances. Your family's beautiful tribute to your husband's memory brought more than tears to me eyes and compassion to my heart. I prayed grace and peace over you and yours. Your family has given us what we can never replace for you. Your husband gave the ultimate, the all, in an action that, based on your words last night, exemplified his character. Thank you for sharing with the BBP community. My husband is proudly working at WTC to rebuild tower one. We will not let them destroy us. You remain strong, and diligent, and yours will be your reward in heaven at the feet of the Father with your brave husband. I pray that you are well, and that peace and grace may find you and settle your heart this day and all of your days.

Uncle Glenn you would not believe what the world is like these days. A lot has changed but one thing remains the same, the Yankees are still winning. I'm sure you would be busting my chops right now about the Mets but I'm use to it. I don't want to put anything sappy because I'm sure you would want sports talk instead. I love you and miss you Uncle Glenn. I was telling stories about you all week. I'm so proud to say that I am related to a true American Hero. I'll be the only U.S History teacher at Tallwood High School that can teach their class about the American spirit and use their own family as an example. What I would give to wake up in your basement apartment again, listening for the footsteps of Kelsie, Craig, and Kevin so Junie and I can go upstairs and have cinnamon toasties and juicy juice on your dining room table then go play in your backyard. You will always be remembered.

Glenn,

In my office at work I have a framed picture of the New York sky line as it was prior to 911. I also have your picture and a story about you in that frame.

People constantly come in to my office and read about you and how heroic you were. I am proud to say I knew you and I am certain I will see you again.

I remember a time when we were playing high school football and you played for a week on a broken leg before you finally went to have it put in a cast. You were tough! So your heroic acts were no surprise to me. I think about you often and pray for your family daily. One day we will all be reunited and we can thank you for touching all of our lives.

As I sat on a bench in Calverton Cemetary after visiting my fathers grave I felt so peacful and then noticed I was sitting on your memorial bench - your name on the plaque and flowers and flags were in the area. I was very touched to feel that I was in your place of peacefulness, I wish your family well.

Dear Lt. Glenn Wilkinson,

I will miss seeing you at the fire house picnics and talking to you. You are a true hero. You were a great father, friend, and person also you proved that you had a lot of nerve. God knows you are a hero and a great man in every way. I hope you rest in peace in heaven. You took your job to the max and loved it. You served your country well. All your brothers miss you and engine company 238 and ladder 106 will never be the same without you. God Bless you and your family.
