Pendyala Vamshikrishna Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 16, 2001.
Pendyala Vamshikrishna, 30, had been away on business for three weeks and was eager to get home to Los Angeles. As he boarded American Flight 11, he called his wife's voice mail to let her know he would be home soon.

"He didn't want to disturb me in the night," Prasanna Kalahasthi said. "He said, `Hi, sweetie, I've just boarded the flight and I'll see you in Los Angeles this afternoon.'"

A software engineer for DTI Technologies, Vamshikrishna moved to the U.S. from his native India 10 years ago, earned a master's degree and became a great fan of American sports.

I'm not exactly sure what to wright... But, I feel compelled to send out something from my heart to you. I picked Pendyala's name randomly. I just want to let you, his family & friends, know that my love goes out to you. I am 31 yrs old and I'm sitting here watching, for the first time in 10 yrs, the horrific events that fell upon us that September 11th. You see, I have not been able to watch anything related until now and I'm not really sure that I am "able" to watch now... But I do and I will. As I know that you have been forced to deal with your unimaginable loss since the tragedy. Please know, that I have not forgotten and I never will. I want you to know that I greave for you and that I pray for you. As my tears fall I pray your hearts heal. Please take care of each other and let love fill your hearts. And know, although you may not always hear us, see us or feel us, there are many that hold you and Pendyala in the highest regards. Be strong.
With true love,
Amanda M. Cole

To Pendyala's family: I'm so sorry to hear of your immense loss. I never knew your son but I came across his story when I read about his wife Prasanna having committed sucide a month after his death. Even though I don't know her either, it's such a tragic ending for a lovely young couple like them. It hurts to hear such untimely and unfair deaths of young and talented people like these.

Please accept my heart-felt condolences. It's an unimaginable tragedy that I will never forget. Please stay strong. May God grant you all the strength to carry on each day.

Vamsi and Prasanna must be happy together in Heaven right now.

May Pendyala's warm heart, life and love live on in you. May the deep sorrow in your hearts be lightened by the warm memories of times shared with Pendyala. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Attack on America, hurt too much to Dry...I would like to express my condolendes to all the families in our area and the rest of the world for the passing of their loved ones in connection with Sept 11th terrorist attacks. The sad part for me is that I haven't been able to cry a tear in sorrow and its not like me. I'm afraid when I do, I'll crash. There are no words to fill the gap of sadness and i pray for all of them every nightPlease GOD let there never be anything like this again in this world. May GOD bless you all and our Soldiers in harms way in that foreign country.
