Hello! I posted someplace a few months ago and hope you received. We lived next door to when Romeo was so small. I just loved Juliette and his visits. The most beautiful children ever. I am so sorry for such a great loss. I have always thought of you and family. Thank you for the opportunity to have shared in Romeo as a young boy. Thank you for your neighborly friendship and for sharing all your food and creating my love of Curry! I will always remember that adorable little boy and his beautiful sister. God bless you Bhola and family. Annie

My 11 year old asked me today where I was and what I was doing that day. 18 years seems so long ago when you say it out loud, but I can't believe how fresh those memories can seem when reliving that day. The vividness. Watching the live news as plane 2 hit. Then getting news of the Pentagon... I remember thinking, no... Bish is there.... My worried heart broke, hearing my fear had be confirmed, that you were among the missing.
He hugged me as I cried today, thinking of you sweet Romeo, who's smile could brighten the darkest room. Sharing your story, showing him pictures of you, showing him the live news broadcast, the one I was watching. Remembering you... Who would scoop up my oldest boy, a mere baby then, now 20 yrs old, when we attended bbq's with all the ET & IT shipmates and wives. Your fun loving heart, making us all laugh and playing with our kids. You are sorely missed dear friend. Paying it forward in your honor, always. #wwBISHdo #payitforward #trueRomeo #neverforgotten

To this day it is still fresh in my mind like wound that never healed. All though I didnt know Chris very well All I kept thinking about is turmoil his family was going through. From what I can remeber was no matter how much of a hard time I gave him in the chow line he always had smile on his face. I rember he show me how to use email so I could communitcate with my freinds and family. There is not a day that doesnt go that I do not think about that. Its funny how the impression Chris made on people.

Devita, I do know John Martinez but do not know where he is now. I will see if I can find him and let you know. Yes, Romeo and I did serve together. We used to stand watch together on the USS SHREVEPORT. He was an awesome friend. I went to see the memorial at the Pentagon last month and saw his gravesite at Arlington. Thanks for contacting me. I am retired now. Mark Judson

10 years later, a continuing story of how Kris will not be forgotten. Please read all to end. A simple act of kindness told on Facebook.
A story from my travel. at a BBQ joint Corkys in Memphis. The guy next to me goes to leave and tells the bartender I will pay for his too. I say no that's OK. then he tells me his story today would have been my cousins birthday but he was killed in the Pentagon on 9/11 so his family around the country on his birthday buys a strangers meal. What could i say but thank you and thanks to your family. And now one more person remembers Kris Bishundat http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/krbishundat.htm

It has been a long 10 years since we have heard your laugh and enjoyed your quirky sense of humor. Yet it really doesn't make a difference whether it has been 10 years or that dreadful day it happened, the hurt and loss is still there and always will be. The world is NOT a better place without you, as you have left a void in the lives you touched. You are truly missed by all who knew you and loved you. You are and will be forever with us. Love, "The Crew" and their families, your friends and your family.

Dearest Friend. We spent many days together that I will never forget. Your love for Prince and the time the bird flew into your sunroof as we were driving down the freeway the first time I went home to meet your lovely family. Your sisters were merely kids then.
Tonight....I hope they have peace in their hearts knowing that we (America) have captured the shell of a man who took a way another great man (you) and many others.

To the family of "Bish". I am so truly sorry for your loss. I served with "Bish" on the USS Shreveport LPD-12, and knew him pretty well. He had a great personality and an infectious smile. He loved his work and he also loved to have a good time. I remember seeing him often kidding around with the guys down in berthing, and doing his Bruce Lee impressions. I've never forgotten your son's sacrifice and I will never forget his smile. "Bish" is the epitome of a great sailor and an even greater human being. Honor, Courage, Commitment. "Bish" did all that and I am honored to have known your son. Bravo Zulu "Bish". Job Well Done sailor. Fair Winds and Following Seas "Bish". You're on that Gator in the sky brother!!!

While I never got the opportunity to meet Romeo...he is remembered in my heart as a Servicemember who gave the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11/2001. His smile speaks volumes as do the stories about him shared by his loving family. May God Bless his lovely parents that I had the honor of meeting at the Pentagon Memorial on the evening of 9/11/2009. Blessings to his two sisters as well. Thank you for your service to our country Romeo.

I can't believe it. I spent 6 months with Romeo in the Navy and we were like best friends; we did everything together. I remember when he got his orders to D.C. He was so excited and I was so jealous cause he was going to get to carry a gun, lol. I even visited him and his family in Waldorf, MD. I lost touch with him and only found out what happened recently from a mutual friend I hadn't heard from in years. Romeo was the coolest down to earth person I have ever met. I don't think I will ever find a friend like him ever again. He was truely one of a kind. He will be missed.

You were always smiling, you would come into the gym and always stopped by to sit with me and say hello, and we just talked about things like the beach and how our days were going. I always looked forward to your visits. You are sorely missed and loved...You are truly an angel. Thank you for being you and bringing so much joy in our lives. God bless you and your family.

Bro,
It is Saturday September 9th, 2006. 5 years have went by so quickly. My wife is in New York, working for an international news agency, doing the anniversary story on what happened. I am in the interview process for Federal Air Marshal's right now and if I am hired, this will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! Nonetheless bro, I was just sitting back thinking and went through the old Shreveport Cruise Book. I am attaching a picture. Center stage man! New Years in Malta! Partying hard and never slowing down. That's how I remember you man. God bless the Bishundat family and keep watching over us Kris.

Kris,
It is coming on 4 years since I last saw you. Sept. 11, I was home on terminal leave when my folks woke me up to what happened. I didn't believe it. I prayed so hard that you were safe. The next day I found out. Over time, I have lost the ability to show emotions often. But I will tell you and the world, that each year on that day, I think of you and I cry. Heck, I am crying now. You know, we had an arguement on the ship before I left the command; we never formally apologized to each other. Bish, I am sorry bro. I truly am. We had some great times together and I will always cherish those memories. Fly with the angels bro.

I knew of your son, which is to say i knew his name and spoke to him briefly through a class we were both taking at UMUC.
This was a class that we had barely begun when he was taken from us. As a former Marine and classmate of your son I want to express my condolences for your loss.
From my brief exposure to his writing and comments he was truly an intelligent and wonderful person that was taken far too soon. I would hae liked to had the opporutnity to become closer fiends with him.
