Thinking of Debbie today, we had lost touch after high school but I have very fond memories hanging out with Debbie and Leigh at her house during the summer. She was such a smart student and caring friend.

Sis,
Today marks 8 years. Sometimes it feels like yesterday. This year, your high school class will be dedicating a memorial bench in your honor at the homecoming and establishing a college scholarship fund.

I know how much children meant to you, and that you treated each one as a special gift. Now, thanks to your classmates, a new generation of children will be able to achieve their goals of a good education.

Your spirit lives on!!

It is another year, and our family will gather on Labor Day weekend as we did when we last saw Debbie. That last family get-together remains vivid in my memory. Debbie was so alive, so happy, so fullfilled. Debbie was a stellar citizen and an incredible mother. I want to remember Debbie in a special way. One day the answer will come. In the meantime, I am full of gratitude for having known no finer sister-in-law on the face of the earth.

People say that you are born into a family, and have no choice who your relatives are. While that might be true, I surely would have picked Debbie as my sister no matter what. Growing up as her younger brother, I always seemed to be blamed for everything bad that happened. Sibling rivalry will get you all the time. But no matter what, Debbie was a great sister, a good listener, and a wonderful confidant. In 1967, David was born, our little brother, who we still refer to as our "little brother". We dealt with all the normal trials and tribulations as three youths growing up in the 60's and 70's, along with our own special family issues. All in all, we survived and became responsible adults.

Debbie enjoyed her job working with the military, enjoyed the travel and all the friends she made along the way. She never spoke badly of anyone, and had the patience I wish I had everyday. The happiest days of her life were when Ann and Brian were born, and she shared that happiness with John and the rest of us. She decided to move back to the States from Germany to be closer to family and friends, and so Ann and Brian could grow to know their cousins.

I remember how happy and proud she was the day she received her new job working in the Pentagon. It was THE PLACE to be working. She truly enjoyed working with General Maude and the rest of the staff. Again, her dedication and loyalty shown above all else and she made a difference, if only for a moment.

Debbie will live in my heart forever, and I will make sure her children, and their children know the real special person she was to us all.

Miss you always!

Three short years have past since you left us. However, it feels like an eternity. My heart hurts every day that I can not see or talk with you, but I know you are with us. Love you always, sis!

This July, Debbie would be three years older, and just as full of life as ever. She was an icredible sister in law and an amazing mother.

I hope your loved ones know how much of a heroine you are to us in the midwest who didn't suffer like they have. you gave your life for our country and I am proud to wear your bracelet. I would like to hear from your brother, Ernest, in Florida.

May Degorah's family accept my sincere condolences. Deborah and I worked together in Heidelber, Germany. At the time she was expecting her first child. She was kind, sweet and always smiling. I didn't know until yesterday that she had died at the Pentagon on 11 September. That discovery has filled my heart with grief. The picture of Deborah I saw yesterday shows her smiling, with her baby on her knees. I'll never forget it - or her.

The community Chorus and Orchestra are performing a tribute to the New York attacks and all involved here in Kansas City. During a section of the song we were told to whisper a name of one victim of the 9-11 attacks. I chose Deborah. I want her family to know that we all share in thier grief and that all the victims of 9-11 are remembered and will be honored when we perform our tribute.

I send my warmest love to the family of Deborah Ramsaur. At Christmas there was a tree at our Christian Book Store with Paper Angel ornaments with names on them to remember grieving families in prayer. Mine said "Pray for the family of Deborah Ramsaur". I have tried since Christmas to find Deborah's name and some info about her. It was only tonite that I found her name and age, etc. I have kept my angel at my computer to remind me to pray for this family. I would love to hear from a family member or friend. God's grace is sufficient. September 11 touched us all, and we will never be the same. With God's richest blessing and His Love, Lynn Watson

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
