The first time I heard about your story,my heart broke......
Your husband can never touch your body, even only part of it...Your husband can never hear the story you read to him every night before sleeping...
He must be very sad and miss you...
And think of this, the tears wet my eyelashes again...
God will perceive your ache and comfort to you and your family!

Thinking of you today Rhonda, now that the mastermind of the Pentagon attack has finally met with the justice he so fervently deserved in the early morning hours of Sunday May 1st. 2011. I hope his fate gives the Rasmussen Family some comfort and closure. We'll never forget you Rhonda ~ Keith Vaughn Class of 74

I knew Rhonda when we were both 12 years old, at Westlane Junior High School in Indianapolis. She moved away, and I hadn't seen or heard from her since. She had a heart of gold, and I thought she was the prettiest girl in the school. The way she has lived her life since then doesn't surprise me. I'm just sorry it had to end this way.

I am so very sorry for the loss the Ridge and Rasmussen families have suffered. Nine years later, America still grieves for Rhonda. She will not be forgotten.

The last time I saw Rhonda was at the San G class reunion in April of 2001. She approached me and asked if I remembered her. I said,"Of course, you're Rhonda Ridge!". She had the same sweet smile, rosy cheeks, and red hair but she carried an air of confidence that was missing when I knew her from church and school.
She seemed very happy about her life and family. She spoke of a job she loved "on the East coast". I had no idea she worked in the Pentagon. I came away thinking she had really done well and was truly happy.
I was shocked and deeply saddened when learning of her death. I think of her whenever Nov 11th is brought up. She was a truly wonderful person.

Dear Floyd:
I often think about you and your family. I often wondered what Rhonda looked like. What a beautiful angel gracing Gods' house. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. As time passes so will your hurt and pain. May God continue to bless and keep you. I was your Red Cross Volunteer.

I found out that my former classmate at San Gorgonio High School had lost her life September 11, 2001 from another classmate and friend of mine. I didn't know her well, but we occasionally had classes together and always exchanged hello's and smiles to one another. I remember her as a quiet girl with a sunny smile, kind eyes, and beautiful red hair. She had an aura of goodness and kindness about her. Looking back at those years I wish I had known Rhonda better. God bless you & your family.

Floyd our prayers are with you and the kids in your loss. We had lost track of you when you left VA. Just discovered you are in Monterey. Drop us a line.
You have been in our prayers since the casualty list was released. We moved to California Sept 19th 2001, from Redstone Arsenal.
Pray for Peace! Rhonda is with the saints who went before her.

We attended church with Rhonda and her family in Mannheim, Germany. I remember her strong testimony of the gospel and her wisdom about the importance of teaching your children. Whenever I saw here, she always had a smile to share with others. May Heavenly Father bless her family always.

I found Rhonda's picture on the CNN tribute.
Just one look at her and you can tell she was a real peach.
A kind heart and a gentle soul. How lucky you all were to have known someone like that. And what a gift she has left with her memory in your heart.
Even though days and months go by, we don't forget all those who were taken from us. And we don't forget what they left for us.

I drove by the Pentagon last week and was glad to see how well it has been repaired. I didn't know then that a former San Gorgonio classmate was there the morning of September 11 while I was across the river in Washington. You came a long way from San Bernardino Rhonda and you will not be forgotten. God bless your family.

I'm one of Rhonda's school classmates (San Gorgonio High), and learned of her death from her husband Floyd, who answered a yearly Christmas Card I sent Rhonda and her Family. Don't think I'll ever really believe that she's gone. Her memory lives on in my heart and mind. God Bless Floyd and the Family.

I will always remember Rhonda for her smile, laugh, kind heart, patience, lentil soup, watching airwolf on friday nights, cradling my babies, listening to my broken heart, making me laugh, making me proud. I love you Rhonda, I look foward to seeing you in the heavens and sitting with you at the right hand of God with the angels. You were my best friend by chance, but truly my sister by choice. I am watching over your babies the way you did mine. I love you. I miss you. Love Michelle

My name is Erica and I attend a catholic high school in new orleans and as a prayer service for 9/11 tomorrow we had to go and find a person who had passed away in the attack. Someone who had touched us in some way by their actions, family, or something that just made you stop to look at a person. I saw Rhonda's picture and something about her made me click on her. She touched me in a way that I knew that she had tried her best to follow God. Tomorrow when I am standing around the bayou with my classmates and dear friends we will pray for everyone and remember them and I will pray especialy for Rhonda. We will not forget the pain and sorrow that 9/11 has brought upon the land of the free.

I met Rhonda Ridge Rasmussen at a high school reunion on April 28, 2001 for San Gorgonio High School. I was the spokesperson for the contest as to who came the furthest for the reunion. I was able to talk with Rhonda just for a minute. My younger sister, Joyce, was in Rhondas same graduating class. I remember Rhonda very clearly from the reunion and I think about her constantly. I want to send my condolences to her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Rhonda was a loving and caring aunt to me. I am having a hard time understanding why anyone can kill another person, and this has caused so much sadness amoung my family. We lost
our grandmother on July 4, 2002, Rhonda's mom. Hopefully, this will never happen to America again. Kelly
God bless you Rhonda, love Kelly.

I find it quite strange to be looking through all these people who have lost their lives for senseless acts of terror. When I came upon a woman, who has the same last name as I do, I wondered, is there a way we can be related, is there a way I might have lost a relative? But no matter what, or who, we have all lost sometihng from this terrible thing. Lives are forever changed. And I pray for each and every family involved in this, which is the whole US and many other countries as well. I believe many great memories will be kept in each and everyone of our hearts about the people who have lost their lives, they all mean a lot to us. God Bless! May her memories live in us forever!

May precious memories of times shared with Rhonda lighten the sorrow in your hearts. We are tremendously sorry for your great loss. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
