Diane, I think of you often and especially on this day, 9/11. I enjoyed our time as co-workers on the Army Headquarters staff in the Pentagon working for COL Sam Cantey. I will never forget your wonderful smile and how it would always light up the entire room; you were such a joy for all who had the pleasure to know you. Until we meet again my friend, may God bless.

Diane I saw your picture at the 9/11 memorial in New York on 10/15/2016. You have been in heaven for a while now but when I saw your picture I cried as if we just lost you. I will never forget how hard you worked at the pentagon for three generals and how hard you did volunteer work for your local church!! We all admired how you worked beside you husband as he ran his rug cleaning business and still had time to be a mother to you lovely daughter Connie. You will never be forgotten!!!You were my daughter's best friend and we all still miss you!!! I KNOW YOU ARE ENJOYING HEAVEN!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

This was a tragic act of terror that changed the WORLD forever. You will always be loved and missed. I remember like yesterday when I first came to VA, and it was then I grew to become the man I am today. No words or expressions can begin to sum up the amount of lives that you have touched. A Veteran of the armed service (Army) and one of the strongest women I know. I miss that big smile.

I am a student at St.Pius X Highschool in Houston,Texas, I am a sophmore. Our school was given wrist bands with a person's name on it that died on 9/11. We are to wear these wrist band from 9/9 to 9/19. I will never know the real impact of 9/11. I received this name and I prayed for this person. I will keep her and her family in my prayers. God Bless.

My Memories of Ms. Diane are special for many reasons. I grew up in the Church were Ms. Diane attended.(CHCC) I can still see Diane and her family sitting in church praising the lord! She was a good friend to my mother (Emma Bullock). The love and kindness she showed to others is what I will never forget about her. I will also never forget the grief my family and I shared after we learned Diane was gone. My mother has sinced passed as well, and now I will cherish the memories of them both. Sometimes when I feel the grief is to much to handle, I remember that their is NO pain Jesus can't heal! CHCC has lost two beautiful Angels, but look what Heaven has gained! We love you all!

I remember Diane from my home church when I was just a teenager. She was a wonderful person who loved to hug people. I find comfort in knowing she had a personal relationship with God and is safe in his arms now. Her life touched many people.

Yesterday I received a Mercy Band bracelet bearing the name of Diane Hale-McKinzy. Until then, the attacks were news, not personal. We all mourned the loss of so many, but with this bracelet, it now feels like a member of my family was a victim. I pray for Diane's family, and pray that she has found peace with God. She will forever be linked to me, and I only wish I had known her.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
