As our country celebrates another birthday here on July 4th, we pause to remember people like Jerry who served this country. I pray today for Jerry's friends and family. We will never forget. Love from Texas,
Tribute to my dear friend and shipmate, Jerry

I go to the bench dedicated to Jerry at the Pentagon, at least once per year and remember the humble sacrifice. Jerry and Joey were both my Navy shipmates I was stationed with in Tidewater Virginia. Jerry and I attended US Navy Photography School in Pensacola together.

Remembering Jerry. My wife and I were friends with Jerry and Joyce at NAS Sigonella, Sicily. We had plans to visit back in the U.S. but this was never to be. Jerry was a great guy and was very sad to hear of his murder.

I am currently participating in the 10th Anniversary 9/11 Ride. I am riding in honor of this great man. It gives me chills to know he had teenagers at home with this frightful tragedy occurred. I have 4 boys ages 16, 13, 5, and 2 and they are the love of my life.
I only hope to honor you and your family in the best way.
God Bless!

I knew Jerry at the Atlantic Fleet Audio Visual Command in Norfolk. I'm reminded today 9 years later of his loss. He was a great friend and I've seen others say the same things about him that I knew. He is missed and prayers go out to his family. I knew Joyce as well but don't believe I ever met his kids.

So sad that we have lost such a creative soul. May the care he took in his work remind us all of the wonders the world holds. His wonderful photographs will help us remember what a wonderful jerry was.

To Jerry's Family...I was fortunate enough to have grown up across the street (Mary Street in Scranton) from Jerry so many years ago. We had many fist fights; shared so many great times...didn't see much of Jerry when his family moved but I have to tell you how proud we were of him. When I learned that it was "our" Jerry Moran that had died in the Pentagon while at mass at Holy Rosary Church I could not believe it. All of the Joyce's thoughts and prayers are with your family. We were blessed to have known such a hero. We send our blessings to you and admire your strength and will continue to pray for you and your family.

Jerry, I didn't know even one of the many people God called home on that sad day. I am sorry you happened to be one of the many, but, heros just happen. You are a hero to all those who knew you and are missed every day. I pray for your family and I'll pray for you. Thank you for all you added to our life while here and know you are not forgotten, even by strangers.

As a tribute to '911' my son's school (Lovejoy Middle) was asked to
pick a '911' hero to write a brief summary and post a memorial on their
school walls. 'Gerry' we don't know you, but for some reason you stood out among the many of name's as the person my son chose to send out a personal tribute. I don't know why.
Hopefully, you are standing out among the many in heaven. Our prayers are with you and yours and all the '911' heroes. God bless/help us all.

Jerry:
Enjoyed working with you last year. Your humor made a tough job much more enjoyable. Every time I walk down the tunnel from visitors parking I expect to see or Gym Lynch. It is easiest for me to pretend that you guys are sitting on a beach somehwere because you slipped out the back door and escaped the rat race once and for all.
See You Again, someday....

We are deeply sorry for your loss of Jerry. May his enjoyment for photography, his life and love live on in your. May the sorrow in your hearts be lightened by warm memories of times together. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Dear Jerry,
I came to this website to visit your name and to find out what I could about you becase I am wearing a bracelet in your memory. It is silver in color, and has an American Flag etched in it. It bears your name, the date of 9-11-01, and the name "Pentagon". The proceeds from the sale of it went to help victims and families of victims.
I pray for your family and will think of you and them often. Truly, you are a hero.
God be with and comfort your family and friends as they grieve, and Godspeed to you.
