While attending a benefit for my friend fallen FF Brian Cannizzarro, also a victim of the 9/11 attacks - we were gifted with Mercy Bands. A copper wrist band to wear in rememberance of a 9/11 victim. I received Carlos. What an honor to be gifted with the name of such an obviously loved man. Although your life was brutally taken, I intend for you - to finish the journey with me - on my wrist - to still see more. Everywhere I go, you will be with me, experiencing life with me - good & bad. Together we will travel through this world until the Lord takes me to meet you. God Bless You Carlos, hope you enjoy my view. I hope to make you proud that I carry your name.

I was fortunate enough to meet Carlos a few years ago when he was dating my best friend, Nancy. He was an incredibly nice person with a wonderful personality and a generous soul. He will be very missed by all who knew him. My prayers are with his family and friends. God has him in his glory now.

Carlos was as good and as sweet a person as you could ever hope to meet. He always had a smile on his face and was fun-loving, loyal, hopeful and sincere. He was my sister's ex-boyfriend, and he was wonderful to her and became a part of our family because of his kind and generous heart. I think of him almost everyday - I know that his bright smile and warm heart shine down on me, and my sister and our family and everyone in this great city. He watches over us and I truly believe that he is an angel now. All of my sincerest condolences are with his wife and family. I hope they take some comfort in how fondly he is remembered by myself and my family.
Truly a great man.
We love you Carlos...God Bless Our Country and New York City!

I live a thousand miles away from and eventhough i do not know you we have the same last name. It feels different because your life was lost on Sept 11. I feel close to you, and all I can do is to pray for you and your family who lost someone they loved. May God Bless You ALways.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I was visiting NYC last month and saw Carlos's picture at Grand Central Station. His picture particularly struck me because I work in a restaurant in Downtown LA, and also most of my close friends at work are Latinos. I shared this picture with them and from all of us in our kitchen and restaurant, our condolences are with your family and with all those lost at Windows of the World. God Bless. PAZ.

I am saddened by the immense loss of so many wonderful people of New York. Even today I still find myself becoming choked up and teary eyed for such an unexplainable loss, and I am so sorry for yours. Just remember that you are not alone. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you. May God bless and take care of your family.
