I listened to the families read the names of the lost at ground zero, and I said a prayer for you Cousin Tony and the Gallagher Family. The flag from the Healing Field that I hang outside my home each day is tattered from wind and rain and AZ dust storms so it can no longer be displayed. I will return to the Healing Field in Tempe next year and find your flag again and we will continue our daily remembrance. Enjoy the splendor of heaven and the love of the Lord and all the saints.

I am so sorry for your lose. I don't know if Anthony was related to me or not but I have always felt all Gallagher were from the same clan. My maiden name was Gallagher and we had relatives all over the U.S. My father was Daniel Francis Gallagher. God Bless you

Tony,
I paused to remember you again - 10 years now.
I still miss calling you, joking, trading a little coal and golfing a few times.
I remembered your excitement about getting married.
It was a moving day.
Rest in peace, my friend, and may God bless you and all your loved ones.

Our Church passed out names of 9-11 victims and I got Anthony Gallagher's. My prayers go out to his family and friends. This was a terrible thing to happen to all these people and their families, as well as our country.

Tony was a very sweet cousin. He was a fun and funny little boy who could get us all laughing. Where he ever came up with this song "My Mommy and Daddy Put Peas In My Ears", is part of children's playtime, but he had us all singing it and giggling. We are now in our 50's, we, the Jack Gallagher cousins, still remember that song and Tony's freckles.
He was a good swimmer and loved the pool with Uncle Jack and Uncle Ed teaching everyone how to swim and dive -first off the side of the pool- then off the diving board. Tony had no fear. He was an eager learner and it was all just great.
He was very kind to me when I lived with Uncle Ed and Aunt Rose and my cousins, in their home in Goshen, NY for a few summer months before moving to Mississippi, following the deaths of Uncle Jack and Aunt Marilyn. We spent much of that summer at the neighbor's pool perfecting our dives and flips, and the 4th of July at WestPoint Academy with canons over the Hudson. We saw each other at the occasional visit at Grandma's in Queen's Village, but our lives were going separate ways. Some years later, after college and establishing a career, I had a chance to work in NY and stopped in to visit Aunt Rose. Tony was home and we sat and talked for several hours. He was a welcoming, happy, outgoing guy and he still had his freckles and infectious laugh. His path had taken him to finance/and bonds trading and it was evident he loved what he did for work.
I am sorry our world and especially the Gallagher Family does not still have Tony, a smart terrific guy with a great laugh, who was kind and fun to be with, but
I'm sure he and the Fordham Alumni Uncle Jack(our dad), Uncle Ed (his dad), and others are singing Fordham Bulldog fightsongs with each other and praise songs to Our Heavenly King.

I never knew Tony. While walking at the Mount St. Mary's Cemetary in Emmitsburg Md., I saw a Memorial head stone with his name on it. The grounds keeper told me that he was the only Sept 11 victim in the cemetary. Both he and his wife Carrie have been in my prayers everyday since. Now, today I see where Carrie has also passed. I'd like to know how. If someone would email me at [email protected], I'd appreciate it.

I am so sorry to learn the news of Tony's widow Carrie's death. Our lives crossed paths as we shared grief and became friends after the deaths of our husbands on 9/11/2001. I wish I had the opportunity to know Tony in person as well.
God Bless Tony and Carrie and may they enjoy everlasting peace together.

I learned of Tony's passing about a month ago. It hit me hard.
I knew Tony from our High School days. My best memory of tony was when we met most every day during the summer before our senior year. Tony was helping me to get prepared for the fall soccer season...he was my mentor.
I remember Tony as being serious most of the time but I also remember him laughing at my stupid jokes...he loved to laugh.
May God hold him close and may his loved ones remember always his laughter.

I knew Tony both as an energy broker and as a friend. A few moments ago I looked back through my business cards and found his from Cantor-Fitzgerald, with an office address of the 105 floor of One World Trade Center. Tony, I know I speak for a lot of folks in the industry in that I can't think about the events of 9/11 without feeling deep sadness over your tragic death. Take care buddy . . .

I did not know Anthony but worked closely with his lovely wife Carrie. Her great kindness and personal affection for others serve to honor his memory every day. It is inspiring to see someone who has been confronted with such tragedy rise above it and become a tremendous source of compassion, warmth and support for all those around her.

Dear Tony,
We missed you and your funny sense of humor at the Mountie reunion this spring. It certainly wasn't the same without you and your comments. You were greatly missed and we talked about you alot. Your ears must have been ringing. Trish and Jay had some great photo's of you and the rest of all the Party Patrons. We got a good education and we had a great time getting it. The priest at your memorial service said it best, "Christ Jesus Lives, Tony Gallagher Lives, Praise God."
You and Carrie are in our thougts and prayers all the time. We miss you and love you.

I was honored to participate in last year's Rolling Requiem performance of Mozart's Requiem at Safeco Field. At that time I was given a heart badge with Anthony Edward Gallagher's name on it. I perform in the Seattle Men's Chorus and decided I would always keep Anthony's heart badge in my tuxedo jacket when performing on stage. This morning, the second anniversary of 9/11, I felt compelled to take it back out of my jacket and go to the website to find out more history regarding Anthony. May God be with all of his family, especially his nephew and nieces. Please know Anthony's spirit lives on and follows me on stage everytime we perform beautiful music in Seattle!

I sang today (9/11/02) with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus and other chorus members at the Basilica in Milwaukee, WI. We sang as part of the "Rolling Requiem", which is where choruses around the world in each time zone, started to sing the Mozart Reqiem in memory of those lost last year. The Requiem is being sung even now, for 24hrs- in a message of grief, hope, and peace. All of us received a button with the name of a person lost that day, and I wore Anthony's name- with great pride, and a sense of prayer for his family. I hope you know that all of us are his family, and share in your grief. My prayers go to him, and you, his family, as well as all of those who lost someone...we are ALL their family. I would love to hear from Anthony's family if you receive this. With much love--a singer from Minnesota.

To Anthonys Family and Friends,
In December of 2001 I went with my church on a missions trip to New York to try to show Gods love to the hurting. We worked at St. Josephs feeding center right outside of ground zero. I was overwhelmed by the loss of so many innocent and unsuspecting people. I have a bracelet with Anthonys name on it and have been praying for his family and friends ever since and will continue to for the rest of my life! We will never forget your loss. The loss of a loved one is something you never get over, so I hope you find comfort in knowing you are so cared for! May God Bless You and Keep You! Isaiah 26:3 says,"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."
May you have perfect peace!

Among God's abundant blessings is the gift of friendship, a gift that unites us all as one family through the links of our friendships, God's children all.
Although never having met Tony, my long time friendhip with Uncle Michael, joy resulting from visits with both Mother and Grandmother Rose, and abiding love for cousins Gina, Mary Ann, and Michelle; I was privileged to share in the joys of family celebrations hearing of them through others.
Tony's family became my own through the gift of friendship and I share the loss of one who meant so much to all who knew and loved him, related to you through the gift of friendship and God's calling us all together as one family.
Confidant of God's promise of the provision of an eternal home for us all, even as I am saddened regarding Tony's far too premature occupancy of that home, I rejoice with his family in the comforting knowledge of God's care for Tony now, of our ultimate reuniting there together, sharing again the joys of wonderful days spent with each other.
My prayers are for us all that we may find and know peace in the love of God who loves us all.
Thanks be to God!

We are very sorry for your loss of Anthony. May his life and love (along with his great cannon ball abilities) live on in those who love him. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
