The 9/11 school project had your name next to mine, and it was such an honor to be able to share your memory with my classmates. I cherish each name I am given each year to remember. My thoughts and Prayers to you and your family.

Never knew you, but feel a connection to you through a long line of Mercurio´s. Potentially somewhere down the line we are related. Even in the year 2024 your spark lives even in strangers. I pray for you and your family who I´m sure still feel the immense weight of not having you here.

As they say life goes on and 20 years have moved along quickly but unfortunately that sense of loss never fully goes anywhere ... Each year on September 10th -11th I check the guest book, watch 911 related programs which make you remember the endless sadness of that infamous day ...Your heartfelt stories and memories make things better ...thank you for sharing ... I met Ralph in July 2001 at an industry function. The 6 hours I spent with him that day I found him to be extremely bright and personable. My thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP Ralph.

My prayers go out to to Ralph’s family as each 9/11 serves as a painful reminder of a tragic loss. I remember watching the 9/11 ceremony last year and hearing “Ralph Joseph Mercurio” and being absolutely overwhelmed with grief and awe. In our Mercurio family tree, we have relatives in New York that we have never met. My grandfather, Anthony Mercurio, was a member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, and is a Vietnam War veteran. He unfortunately passed away in 2007, and while his sister is still alive and we know a few of his cousins, we wish we were able to know more of our family. Last year, we went to go view the names on our family flag. Sure enough, “Ralph Joseph Mercurio” was printed on our Mercurio Family Flag of Honor. The Flag had been previously hanging in my grandparents’ Ruidoso home. While our Dallas & Fort Worth Mercurios have never met Ralph, we consider him family. And we consider you all family. We are confident that Ralph was a servant-leader, characterized by empathy and joy- Representative of our Mercurio name. God bless you all and we hope that one day our paths would cross. Many prayers and thoughts for you all and your family.

At 47 years young Ralph was taken way to soon, but we all know that their are reason why God wants special people with him. I personally did not know Ralph but I'm sure that our ancestors are related some where down the line. My grandfather was born in Sicily in a small village called Termini and was sent to America as a young man for a better life for himself. God bless the famiglia of Ralph Joseph M. I never knew this Ralph Joseph Mercurio but I did know my Uncle, Ralph Joseph Mercurio. He lived in the Italian North End of Boston for the 88 years of his life and he died this past April and I loved him very much.
Today, as I watched a TV Show about the 911 memorial being built in New York City, I saw his name, looked him up on line, found this page and felt I should write. As I read through some of the other entries I saw that there were other none directly related "Mercurio" guests who had also written. As another said in his entry, I'm sure we are all related somehow. I plan on visiting the memorial and will find Ralph's name.
God Bless and Rest Them Both.

Hi. I attended the Dodger vs. Giants game in SF last Sunday. As part of the memorial, we were all given a card and I was given Ralph's. My girlfriend & I said a prayer for Ralph and his family. As a result of this guestbook, I know a little more about Ralph. I too will fly this card in his name.
God Bless.

Hello. My name is David of Orlando, FL. Yesterday's 10th anniversary 9/11 memorial here featured a field of flags, one with each victim's name on it. The attendees were encouraged take some home at random, display them, and let the families know we did just that. I want you to know one of the ones I happened to pick was Ralph's. A memorial flag with his name on it is perched in the clubhouse of my complex here in Orlando. I'm glad I found this guest book on the Internet to let you know this. G-d bless you.

Hey there Ralphie boy. I was glad to call Ralph my friend. We worked together, and in the same business for many years. When Ralph died, when people spoke about him, many had the same remembrance. Ralph never had a bad word to say about anybody. He was a wonderful guy and he is missed. God bless his family.

Today I placed a flag in your honor at a local business for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I never met you, nor did I know anyone personally that lost their life that day, but you are all heros in our eyes and it was the very least I could do.

I never knew you but about a month after 9/11, I began dating your daughter Gen. For the next year-year and a half I heard all about you. You sounded like a very good person and most of all an amazing father to both your daughter and son. I now work in TV News and this morning I saw video of that day and for some reason I began thinking about all of the good stories that I heard about you so I google your name and this website popped up. Since I never got a chance to meet you I figured this was the least I could do.

Hey Ralphie

A friend called me tonight because her daughter is doing a school project regarding 911 and the war, so I find myself on this sight and missing you as we do everyday, I thought I would drop you a line, how weird is that, I write as if your reading it? If this tragedy has taught us anything it is to appreciate people in your life and cherish your family and friends today - who knows what tomorrow will bring. I know you may not be able to read these letters but I feel you are watching over your kids and the rest of us. It has been over 4 years but Nick and the girls still can not get over your gone - I wonder when that day will come.
Miss you and rest in peace
Love Cathy and Lou

Yesterday on the Anniversary of 9-11 I did my first Triathlon. I thought it would be good way to commemorate those that perished three years ago. I was randomly given your name to do my triathlon in memory of. I placed an American flag with your name on it on the beach and I had your name on my bib number. I thought about you and your family throughout the race and as I crossed the finish line. Even though we've never met, you gave me the strength I needed. Thank you! Rest in Peace.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
