We will never forget. Prayers today for Christopher's friends and family. Much love from Texas

I never met Christopher Newton Carter. Right after 9-11, bracelets inscribed with the name of a victim were available in exchange for a donation to the recovery and support effort. At that time, we didn't know the entire scope of the tragedy. I wore the bracelet 24 hours a day, seven days a week, just praying somehow he would be found and saved.
Going through my jewelry box today, I found the bracelet and the feelings of overwhelming sorrow came back to me. We live in tough times and, even though many years have gone by, I know his family must feel so sad. I will never discard that bracelet and I am willing to send it if you would like it. It was worn with great hope following a horrible event.
Let me know if you would like me to send it to you.

Twelve years later and the memory of that horrible day has not faded. I worked with Susan for a short period of time and had the pleasure of meeting Christopher just prior to 9/11. I knew several people who perished that day and remember Christopher in my prayers. Each year I bow my head when I hear his name called during the memorial ceremony.

I participated in Sacramento, CA's 5K today in memory of all those lost on 9/11/01. At the end of the race we were each given a flag to place beside the names. After walking around, Something drew me to his name. I took a photo of the flag placed next to his name. I had to see the face to go with the name and had to know who he was. I am sorry for your loss. He will forever be in my heart

I was watching the 9/11 Memorial today on 9/11/11 and I was shocked to hear a name from my past, Christopher Newton Carter. I knew Chris very well many years ago. We met when we worked together and I visited England for the first time with him and met his lovely family. Chris was a wonderful guy and my heart goes out to his family. I really had no idea; I lost a cousin in the Towers as well. Rest in Peace, Chris.

It has been 5 years and I am supprised at how often I am reminded of that day and of Chris. I had the good fortune of working with Chris before he joined Sandler. He was a wonderful, caring and funny person. I will carry his memory with me always and fondly.

I live in Florida and work for a company "Insurance Office of America". Today we are remembering 9/11 by wearing pictures of people who were lost. Today I wear the picture of Christopher Newton Carter. As I think of the day and think of what he may have been like I also mourn for you, his family. 5 years have passed and memories may not come as often but the pain is still as vivid as then. I lost a twin brother to cancer 20 years ago and I feel so fortunate that I had time to tell him what I wanted to and prepare. The additional pain of not being able to say those things you want to say - I can't image. I hope that you have been able to move on and find love and peace in your lives. May God bless you.

I spoke to my brother that very morning. He phoned and asked me to call our mother to tell her he was ok. I don't know if I'll ever come to terms with Chris's death. He enjoyed his life so much. He came to Scotland for the first time only weeks prior to the tragedy, the weather was glorious, the mood one of peaceful joy. He loved it so much, he said he wanted to come more often. I love Chris with all my heart and soul and my heart sank 15 years ago when he told me he was moving to the US. But we always kept in touch, by phone, e-mail and we would try and see each other at least once a year. In our youth he was my guide and protector, I looked up to him and his example was an education in itself. When I start talking about him I don't want to stop, but I guess I must.

I have a niece in Albequerque NM. When she was over at Christmas/NewYear she said she would put a donation in the fund for Sept 11 for me. This she has done and I have received a bracelet with Christophers name on it. I have read about Christopher and he was a lovely man. I am proud to have a bracelet with his name on it. My love to his family.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I knew Chris, and he was a lovely person. Bright, witty, talented and kind. We worked together years ago at Family Media - in fact thanks to him I heard about the opening there and applied. Before that he was my account rep that called on the previous magazine company I worked for. He always had a cheerful word and would always help you solve a problem. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He would tell them in his charming British accent. He was crazy about computers - he was one of the first people I ever heard about who set up a network of computers in his home, way back before it was popular. He changed from magazine research to computers because he liked the field so much. He was good at his work but modest in his opinion of his talents. He was kind and generous - I remember him telling us about how he used to go to Lourdes (the shrine in France) every year and help carry disabled people up to the place where they could receive a blessing and have hope for a cure- thats the kind of person he was. I am so sorry to hear that he is gone. Anyone who knew him will always remember him fondly.
