I really cant wrap my head around this anniversary, its been 20 years.
Really feels like a week ago the towers were hit and we lost you.
We were talking about what to do to mark this 20 years.
For me I am gonna kick back with a cold one and remember you. The Freeport days, the cars, the hanging out, the Vols. just gonna try to relive the memories. Hope to see some of the Fam..
Miss ya Kid - ZAR !

I usually dont post about today - never seem to have the words - but as today was coming to a close I found some:

Everyone speaks of bravery on this day and all the while displaying that typical patriotic image of the twin towers wrapped in the flag with the words Never Forget - What I will never forget is the image of my father coming home, covered in dust, eyes swollen, and exhausted. What I will never forget is the face my mother made when she saw him and the way he was. What I will never forget is realizing in her gaze how destructive this all was. My father, my mother, my uncles, my aunts, my grandparents, and my cousins all lost some whom they loved. They lost someone who was so individual that stories of his life are still told as if he was standing in the room. For each of them, the rotation of the earth suddenly shifted that day. Yet this family, MY family, fought on.

That is what I define as bravery. It wasnt just the heroism of my Uncle Tim but that his family declared that they would not let his memory fade and that he would live on in their love - So when we display images on 9/11, the ones we must hold above all the others are the ones of our lives as we remember those we lost, for their memories living on in us is our victory and, in a way, it grants them eternal life.

Cheers...Love Danny xoxo

To Our Dearest Son,Tim,
It is now 15 yrs. since the first Sept. 11, 2001 and you have never been forgotten. We think and talk about you all the time. There is always something happening that doesn't remind Dad & I of you. You were a wonderful, funny, singing and dancing son who could fix anything broken. You were a pied piper to children. You could mimic any of their favorite cartoon friends. Everyone loved you then as they still do.
You are always in our hearts. <3

The best way I can describe Tim was he was larger than life and someone you tried to be like,my wife Joanne and myself met Tim and his family when he volunteered at a baseball league where we met Christopher and his dad Tim,we were so overwhelmed with the type of person Tim was that we invited him and his family to a barbecue at our house I still see how great he was with his son and I try to use those qualities in my life we miss you Tim.
