My name is Tara as well, so of course Tara's name stood out to me in memorials today. I got on line and read what I could about her. She sounds like she was an amazing woman, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Tara and I are a year apart in age, and I just finished painting rooms in my house red and purple. Weird coincidence - I'll light a candle in remembrance of Tara and all the victims of that horrible day. Best to your family, and to Paige.

"Friends are forever, you might lose them but you'll never forget them."
Tara and I met in kindergarten in Lindenhurst and became best friends. I remember joining Brownies together, the sleepovers and how kind her family was to me. We even sat next to each other in Mr. Wirth's 6th grade class at E.W. Bower. I moved to Ireland in 1979 and we lost touch. My heart aches for her family and I think of her often. Everyone leaves footprints in your memory, but the ones that leave footprints in your heart are the ones you will truly remember. Tara, I am sure you are among the angels and I hope we meet again one day, we have a lot of catching up to do.
Love,
Maureen Murphy (Fiorellini)

To Tara's family
For the 10th year anniversary of 9/11 our church held a huge event with almost 3,000 people in attendance. Glow sticks were passed out, each one had the name of a victim on it, and I recieved Taras name. As we lit them and had a moment of silence she was remembered and her name lives on.

Tara and I were friends high school-I will always remember her sweet soul, her easy smile and gentle laugh. It still makes me cry knowing that she's gone. Her family continues to be in my prayers...

This afternoon, at Bayard Cutting Arboretum, I sat on the bench that is dedicated to Tara. A peaceful, gentle place -- I thought about Tara and her family and said a prayer for all of them.
June 9, 2011
Tara was a dear friend of mine. I grew up with her, her brother Rob, and her sister Lisa, who is one of my best friends in the world. She was a wonderful and fun person; and I have so many great memories of her; such as all the years we bowled together; shopping at the mall; going to concerts and many more. She was such a warm and happy person, I watched her get married, then her daughter Paige came along; and Tara was beaming. I still miss her all the time and pray she is at peace. She has an amazing family; and every single day I ache for what they have been through. I miss you Tara! Love, Cindy Tall

To Tara's family & friends,
Tara and I were friends in HS and although I hadn't seen her since we graduated my heart broke when I learned that she worked in the WTC. I learned about her fate a few days after the attacks and I realized that we both had our first babies in 2001 and I knew from that moment on that Tara would be in my heart and my mind forever.
Whenever my own son, now 7, reaches a milestone I think of Paige.
Tara and I shared a love of Disney, musical theatre and the color purple! I visit Argyle Park every 9/11 to leave a yellow rose for her. Although purple was her favorite color, yellow represents friendship, and she was a wonderful friend!
May God bless you all!

To Tara's family & friends:
I went to the Bayard Cutting Arboretum Thursday because I wanted some quiet space to think about 9/11. Just by chance I walked to the nearest bench to sit down and it had a plaque stating that the bench was donated in memoriam for Tara. So I spent some time thinking about your Tara. Tonight I searched the Internet and found her NY Times Profile and her picture. I think I was led to Tara's bench. I hope it will help your family to know that even complete strangers miss everyone who was lost.

Dear Tara and Family,
I had the pleasure of working closely with Tara for more than 8 years at Marsh. It was my first job and she was my supervisor and a great one at that. Tara I know that you are in heaven shining down on everyone and I just wanted to let you and your family know that you help make me the person that I am today and I thank you for it. My heart will always be filled with your memories.

Tara, I don't know you, but I was at a 9/11 function this evening, and chose your name from all the victims of that horrific day. Purple is my favorite color too, and we would have had wonderful times going to musicals on Broadway.

I did know Tara, for 21 years. She was a dear friend. Her sister Lisa is my best friend. This world is never going to be the same without her. Those who knew her remember an extremely thoughtful and funny person.. I miss her every day. I heard Rick Springfield on the radio just days ago, and I cried because I remember going to a concert with Tara, and how much I miss her teasing me about over-sleeping for bowling. She will always be in my heart.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
