Frankie...that's how I knew and loved you as a kid..I'm your cousin (little Madeline) 20years ago when the Towers were attacked..was so personal to me and I deeply regret not knowing you as we became adults..my heart and love go out to you, Monahan /Kelly families. I cry for about a week every September...I remember how funny you were..never heard you sing, just my Aunt Patsy, uncle Tommy and Tinker...and of course our Grandpa..the silver fox. From reading all the comments sounds like you were a stand up guy...we resemble one another..to your family..I'm so very sorry for your lose...they don't make them like Frankie anymore..

My thoughts and prayers are with the Monahan family today. I knew Frank from his Bankers Trust days and will never forget a game of pool we played for money one night in Nashville, TN while he was there helping to transistion a department from NY to Nashville. He was a kind and gentle soul and always quick with a laugh or a joke. I only knew him for a brief time but I'm a better person for it. May God bless Frank and his family.

Hey Mondo Just want to say that i was thinking of you yesterday. You pop into my mind constantly. we had a lot of laughs together but the biggest laugh of all is when you tried to upstage me when you sang and I played the music. I have to admit , you always gave me a run for the money. Anyway, I know you have them clapping like crazy and laughing their butts off when you go into your act. Nobody does it better. Miss you and thinking of you. Someday we'll do our thing together again..

Although I was sad to hear the name "Franklin Monahan" today, it brought back a smile and a rememberance of a little boy we called "Frankie" who actually had the nerve to hang around with us "big kids" on 4th Avenue in Brooklyn. I remember that he was one of the few "little brothers" I actually liked and he was only about 8 or 9 years old at the time. You were each blessed by a special visitor who now is one of your guardian angels. May you all find some peace as you relive the joys of a life well shared and continue to find little bits of Frankie is each of your hearts. God bless...

Frankie, My mom got and e-mail from an old Brooklyn friend who told us you were gone. We went to OLPH together. I've been reading your tributes and wanted to add that you were the same fun loving guy even back in grammar school. My heart goes out to your family and friends. When I think about our days at OLPH I smile and remember the fun we had. Aloha, friend, until we meet again.

"Only the good die young." That's what they say.Frank wasn't good he was great! I met him about fifteen years ago with friends of mine at the Wharf, and I immediately took a liking to him.Franky often bartended there and he was always the life of the party. If you had problems or things on your mind he always had solutions and he always had time to listen or cheer you up. I heard he had a few kids and to them I say your dad was a great man and I will always think of him and miss him.

Sincerly,

frank,

Words can't describe the joy you brought to so many people's lives...I have to be honest for a minute, I thought I was the only one you sang for.

Frank, you are forever in our memories, our minds and our hearts. I know this is true because there are so many times when something comes up in conversation, no matter who it is with, and I just smile thinking of you. The times usually circulate around a saying or a line from a movie, or a song (i love a parade). I am laughing with you right now.

As you know I have had the pleasure of teaching your only daughter, Megan. I have to tell you, you shine through her. There are times that she comes out of her shell in front of a few classmates and when I look at the faces around her, they all have smiles on. She gained your sense of humor for sure.

Mondo. What a name? Tom liked it so much he decided to name our dog after you. Tom tells the story often, remembering the day you said, "I'd be honored." Well, Mondo, the four-legged one, is up with you now. Can you do me a favor? and walk him.

I can't help but think about you especially around this time. There are only two months left until our wedding and I can remember you eager to see this day come. I am truly sorry that you won't be there with us, in your turquoise tuxedo you so desperately wanted to wear. You will be there in spirit looking over us, and we will be looking up...definitley SMILING.

Be well. (look out for the young guys up there)

Frankie, you are truly missed. Every Saturday working together in the Barn we had lots of laughs. And many other fun times dancing and singing. Your laugh was contagious, it always made us smile.

Keep smilin' Frankie, we love ya!

Dolores

His smile… you were never really sure if he was laughing with you or at you… his grin was on half of his face, which made him seem up to something…

His voice… his eyes, it all tied into his performance… on stage he would steal the show, I can remember when we were at the Irish Circle and he started to sing… I was shocked, I hadn't heard him sing before, it was dazzlingly dramatic, and it was not his last performance he would sing and dance around, gleefully… for all occasions... for any occasions as long as there was someone to applaud…

Sept 8th, Mondo complained about how empty it would be in the bar all of the sunny Saturday afternoon by himself. So a few girlfriends and I decided to join him. When we arrived there, people were already there… and a crowd continuously floated in and out… he personality was magnetic… a party arose around him… then he left the bar to bring his father some dinner... that was the last I saw him...

He loved his family, he loved life, and he loves that we have happy fond memories of him.

Mondo you are missed.

My memories go far back with Frank. "The Bankers Trust days". Although it has been a while, He will always be in my heart and fondest memories. The softball team, the "A" Train rides home and work. Always joking as life was supose to be - FUN. I would never tire of "I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANSICO" sung many times. Gosh, he was always making me laugh.

God Bless his family for their loss. May they find some comfort in knowing how many lives he has touched.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
