Susan Clyne was my first senior manager for the software development internship at Marsh. Meeting her was inspirational for my career success, especially as I learned about Susan's career path, and saw her commitment and care for her team, and passion for helping business users by building functional and scalable software. On September 11, 2001, as I saw the towers collapse, I started thinking of all the people that were in those towers, and realized that it was quite likely that Susan was there that morning, as she always has been, coming in super early to get herself and the team energized about the work ahead. After learning that she was among the victims, all I could think about was her family and four beautiful children whose pictures were always on her desk.
My deepest sympathies to the family. My message to Susan's children: your mom was an amazing technical leader, and an inspiration to me, a guiding light for my career path, and memories of working with her are still fresh >20 years later. You were her biggest pride.

Our thoughts of deepest sympathy we send to your family. Susan is still sadly missed by others and is not forgotten. With each new day may God continue to give the help and support needed to cope with your very sad loss.

I think of Susan every year. I had the pleasure of working in the same office as her for several summers. She was someone I truly admired, for her intellectual curiosity and her work ethic. She was also a wonderful friend to my mom, Barbara McNamara. Wishing her family peace today and the knowledge that she has never been forgotten.

My mom, Barbara McNamara, worked with Susan for many years and considered her a dear friend. I had the pleasure of working with her as well during my college summers. She was a very special woman, so bright and enthusiastic and kind. Her thirst for kowledge and education were an inspriation to me. Her children should be very proud. I had the chance to visit the September 11th Memorial this summer with my 11 year old. I asked him to help me find the name of a dear friend of Nanny's who had died on 9/11. I told him it would be hard to find, but that I wanted to try so that we could say a prayer together for her and her family. I told him Susan's name, and about three seconds later, he pointed to her name and said, "is this her Mommy?" Of all the almost 3000 ames, he found it immediately. I think God showed it to him. It was a very powerful moment for both of us. Please know that Susan touched so many lives in ways you cannot even imagine, and that she is remembered with fondness and love by so many. My prayers are with Charile and Susan's kids today and always. God Bless!

She & her husband (along with another victim: Laurence Nedell & his wife) were customers where I worked back then. They were always kind & friendly. Whenever I saw him, after 9/11, I just felt heart broken. Their family forever remains in my thoughts & prayers.

Susan Clyne was a client of mine who I met in the mid 90's. What I remember most of Susan was her willingness to meet with me for the very first time. Susan gave me an opportunity and never judged me. We did business together for a number of years. My heart and tears go out to all who had the priveledge to know such a wonderful person.

She did not leave our world before blessing it with 4 pure souls -- 3 of which I have the pleasure of knowing, for a short time, but long enough to feel the love of God inside of them -- and God knows the countless other lives she has touched.
The more I have found about Mrs. Clyne, the more I can sense His Spirit moving through her family - may all their lives be continually blessed by her continued love and presence with their every thought and act.

My memories of Susan go back to the 1970's when both of our families belonged to the same boat club in Huntington. While we knew each other at that time - it really wasn't until the mid 80's when we worked in the same office building in Melville - that I really got to know her. Susan was full of life - she was pursuing her law degree while working full time - I truly admired her determination to achieve an important goal. I remember when she was first set up on a "blind date" with her future husband - Charlie Clyne.......I remember how happy she was!! Throughout the years our parents have kept in touch regularly. Through her parents, Hank and Grace Dietrich - I would hear about the births of each of their children and how happy Susan was in her life with Charlie and the children. My heart broke when I heard that she was among those that were in the World Trade Center on the 11th of September. Susan and all the members of the Clyne/Dietrich families are in my prayers regularly. May God hold you close to his heart today and forever. In love and friendship - Kathy De George

My children attend the same school as the Clyne twins and although I have never met Susan, we feel for the loss her family has suffered. May you endure the road ahead knowing that your community is praying for you and your family.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I interviewed and then worked with Susan at an Farmingdale insurance agency in the early 80's. She was fresh out of college. Since then, I have interviewed, hired and trained many young women. But I'll always remember Susan. Bright.., polished.., and professional. I think of her as the girl who didn't just complain when a lawyer handled something poorly, she acted on it.
She BECAME a lawyer so it would get done right. And I'm sure she did!
My heart's prayers are with you all. God bless.
