You are missed terribly. You have always been in my heart since high school. We had a great time then and I cherish those days. I think of you everyday how you were taken from such an early age. May God continue to watch over you and your family.

To the Fanelli family,
Delores and I attended St. Plus X together. We never kept in contact after the 8th grade but I remember how much of a good athlete she was and how nice she was to me at a time when there were alot of racial tensions going on in Rosedale.
Each year when they read her name I say a special prayer that her soul continues to Rest in Peace and that her family finds comfort in her memory. God bless you!

I didn't know you Dolores but you sound like someone that I would have liked to have been friends with. They also call me Aunt Dodo and Dolo and they say I laugh a lot too so I'm sure we would have gotten along just fine! To the Fanelli family my deepest condolences and I hope life will spare you further sorrow. To the Herrmann family who put a flower by Dolores's name that was so kind of you and I wanted you to know that I have a niece whose name is Dolores Herrmann so it seems we're all connected in some way with Dolores Fanelli! :)

Although we did not know of Delores until we visited on 12.22.12 my nine year old daughter brought one flower on that windy day to place by a name.
Dolores Brigitte Fanelli attracted us to her and my daughter placed a white flower by her name and wind quickly lifted in the air and it flew away.
My daughter has searched everywhere on the internet for information on Dolores.
Just a note to let you know that Dolores made a new friend who will never forget and now says we will visit Dolores every time we are in New York.
God bless the family and friends.

To the Fanelli Family,
I worked with Delores prior to her working in the world trade center. While we did not keep in touch after our careers took separate paths, I was so saddened and shocked when I heard about her death 10 years ago. Delores was so full of life. I can still remember her smile, her infectious laugh, her positive outlook on life and her ability to make people happy. I think of her often especially around this time of year. - Jill Levin

To the family of Dolores. I am writing this for my father, Harold Smith, who passed away this year. He was so very sad to hear about Dolores. He had seen her just a week prior at a family gathering. I had never seen him cry for anyone except when our mom passed away. Dolores was a beautiful person. I also met Dolores and am saddened by her loss. She really made my Dad laugh! She lives in our prayers always.

Hey Aunt Dodo,
Just got back from the services and got a ton of emails and texts from people who have met you many times as well as people who have only met you once and they all still remember what a bright light you were and continue to be in our hearts. George Pat Bryan and I remember the last game you saw us play (of the many you came to) was our State Championship in Syracuse...it always makes me smile thinking that you were there. Miss you.

To The Family of Dolores B. Fanelli:

I am so saddened over the loss of Dolores. Dolores and I were fellow trainees at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company from 1990 - 1992. There are many things that I will always remember about her. Her laugh, smile and great sense of humor.

One day we will see that smile, hear her laugh and share in those jokes. May God rest her soul.

My family and I extend our sympathies to the family.

Dolores- You were a person of many talents. The most obvious being focused, dedicated and always in the pursuit of fun and happiness. This is what made us choose you as one of Gabriella's godmothers. It is this gift which you have left us. I remember you often and it is always with the fondest of memories. I often think and pray that your family will find peace and joy in all the memories you have left behind. I remember the shock I felt when I heard your employer was housed in the WTC where I lost many work colleagues. In you I lost a close friend, a family member. But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are in a better place and with your help we will all move on- better for having known you. Love to you and your family. You will always be remembered....Ivone, Hamlet and Gabriella.

Dolores worked with my sister Linda.

Linda loved her and I did too. She brought joy to Linda's work-life, joy to her 'heart-life' for Dolores had a secret. A hidden joy that she shared with her Creator alone - it was this secret that we all saw and heard..bubbling over..in her laughter.

Love to all

I have only met Dolores twice in my life and those memories will always be with me. Her fun loving grace brought smiles to many. I am blessed to have been one of them.

God Bless Dolores and for the one who misses her smile everyday.

It's been very difficult time. I will always feel blessed to have known such a wonderful person. We all miss Dolores so very much, and words can never express how we really feel, but my dear friend from Va. wrote this for Dolores and I just wanted to share it with you:

It`s hard to know just how I feel

when everything seems so unreal

It`s hard to find the words to say

It`s hard to grieve and hard to pray

It`s hard to forgive and hard to damn

It`s hard to explain

or understand

It`s hard to accept or to stay the same

It`s hard to ignore and much harder to change

It`s hard to believe

It`s hard to deny

It`s hard to laugh

and it`s hard to cry

It`s hard to remember

It`s hard to forget

It`s hard to go on

I know and yet

Though you are gone

we are not apart

I carry you inside my heart

there you are safe

and will always be

Only time away from me.....

Goodnight my friend

May God have mercy on us all.....

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Dolo, We will never forget your love and the committment to our family. Words cannot express the emptiness in our hearts and how much we miss your smile and laugh. Your arms were always open and welcoming. Thank you for the years you gave us, the years you devoted to molding your nephew Dan into the man he is today and for your support to the Wantagh Community.

Love your brother Fran, Janet and Dan
