I cannot believe its 20 years Cindy. This past month I met up with Larry a few times and we reminisced about the Fun Times. He is doing good, but today will be a very special day of memories for him, as for all your family, friends, Americans and co-workers. May you always rest in peace and know you were loved. Cindy, We were friends for many years, going all the way back to elementary school, and all through high school. Even our moms were friends before we met! After graduation, I thought about you often and wondered how we lost touch, as so many school friends did. I always thought about the fun we had and the silly things we did when we were kids. We sure had a lot of fun. Until 9/11 "happened," that date was always a happy day for me. It is my wedding anniversary, and that horrible year it was my 25th, my Silver, and we were looking forward to celebrating this milestone. Since that day, it just does not seem right to celebrate when so many people are hurting so badly. I think this year will be the first year since the attack that we will go out to dinner on the 11th. I usually prefer to stay home and honor all those brave and innocent people that were lost on that horrible day. I was so sad when I had heard that you were lost in the attack. My heart aches for your family and loved ones, and I hope that they find comfort in wonderful memories of your life with them. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Cindy, We think of you often. I could still hear in my head the way you would walk into a room and say Hello and that laugh of yours. We all knew your favorite color was Purple and so thats my daughters favorite color too. Rest in Peace my friend.

Cindy, I remember seeing your name on the list of people lost on that day, I cannot tell you how sad that made me. I met you twice when my dad and I went to your house to meet you and Larry and your Brittney Spaniel I believe her name was Brandy. She and our dog Bruiser "got together" and we wound up with Alex. The years have past but I often thing about you and Larry. May you continue to rest in eternal Peace.

Cynthia I think about you often. I am so glad that we met. I first met you in Babylon (EBCBS) and liked you immediately. You were a friend to all you met. Oh how you hated going into the city. I stopped by the memorial in Melville to say "hi" I know you heard me & was glad to see me. I know you had to leave, God missed you and wanted you home. I miss you. Rest now and smile down on us.

Dear Cynthia,

We never met.
I saw your "have you seen this person" picture-you and the fish-taped to a column in Chinatown.
I passed by it often in the days after 9/11.
We were the same age and I think of you often.
I wasn't able to do much that day-to help.
I'm trying to do something now.
Cynthia, we never met.
Still-you inspire me.

To My friend Cynthia,

Its hard to believe that its been 10 years since you were taken from us. I think about you often not only on 9/11. I still remember our walks and laughs and the time that you and Nina and I spent at Applebees for our favorite lunches. You will forever hold a place in my heart.

Cindy, We met in the bar of JFK airport both destined for Ireland. We discovered that we were both going on the same pub tour...we remained friends ever since. The best memories were of course all the fishing...The best two memories were the Long Island ocean fishing and the "B" on the 7 mile bridge in the Keys. Never forget the time you and Larry were on my Sea ray when I ran over the anchor line....as we put our hands out to push off of the passing boat so not to crash, you politely said the boaters on the other boat "sorry. This wasn't supposed to happen." Never forget catching all the fish and sushing it up shortly after the catch....Spending all the new years eve dinners together... but once it became closer to midnight I would leave to be with my family at 12. You and Larry would rush home to have your special new years in front of your fireplace...You still live on. I found you in two special friends that I've made over these past 10 years. Yvette who is Puerto Rican and has that beautiful soft bronze skin just like yours and loves the sun. Lisa who is Mrs. Dr. Doolittle... loving all the animals just like you and is just genuinely kind. ...I know that you are wearing the anchor I gave you.... We will all be together one day. Set the table, I'll bring the sushi.

Cindy, We met in the bar of JFK airport destin for Ireland. We discovered that we were going to be on the same pub tour. Ever since, we remained dear friends. From Ireland the the Florida keys...we shared things together like I have not shared with anyone else. I truly miss our fishing and making sushi moments after catching our fish. The greatest memories were fishing in the ocean and catching more fish then ever before. You and Larry both agreed that that was the best fishing day you both had ever had. Never forget the day I drove my boat for the first time with you and Larry and I ran over the anchor line and we had to push off of a passing boat with our hands so we wouldnt crash boats. You politely said to the people on the other boat "sorry. this wasn't supposed to happen". Never forget all the sushi dinners and spending new years eve with you and Larry. I had to get to be with my family by 12 and you and Larry had to make it home to have your special new years in front of your fire place. You do live on. Over the years since you've been in a better place, I found parts of you in other friends that I've made over the years. Yvette is puerto rican with beautiful bronze skin just like yours. Lisa who is Mrs. Dr. Doolittle just like you.... Loving all the animals and just being a kind person...These are two very dear friends of mine that bring you to life. I tell them all the time: You both remind me of Cindy. We will all be with you one day Cindy. Set the table... I'll bring the sushi.

Cynithia, funny how things work out. I went to the Melville office that dreadful day instead of the world trade center and you went from the Babylon office to the world trade center and how crazy is that it was not even your scheduled day to go??? Talk about fate! Miss you and think of you all the time. They made a tribute to you outside the Melville office and every year except this one (only because I moved) I would put flowers there for you.

We worked with Cynthia at EBCBS at 622 Third Avenue on the front-end claims processing system in the 1980's. Over the years we always remember Cynthia as the gal with the magnetic smile and quick wit. Love and "Cynthia Kisses" to you and your family. We will never forget and carry your spirit with us always.

To the loved ones of Cynthia...

We worked together at BCBS many, many years ago at 622 3rd Avenue, NY where she worked as a consultant...When I discovered Cynthia had passed away due to the 9/11 catastrophe I was shocked and at a loss for words. Cynthia was the kind of person that left her mark - each day she came in with a beautiful smile and no one was a stranger....please know that we are all here temporarily but you were blessed to have had her in your lives - she was a vibrant, loving spirit and that will last forever in your hearts and your memories -that is a blessing....may God be with you and give you the strength to sustain...when I think of Cynthia I remember the exuberance she always displayed and her innate friendliness; she was a happy and content soul - and that makes me smile and glad that we had the opportunity to have crossed paths....may you find joy in remembering all the happiness you shared and may it comfort your hearts and minds forever! God Bless you.

I think about Cynthia all the time and miss her everyday. I worked with Cynthia at Empire Blue Cross and only knew her a couple of years. Cynthia was truly an angel, her smiled would light up the office. She was a great person. On 9-11-03 as I passed the coffee shop that Cynthia when working at the WTC would stop for her coffee( Fine and Sharipo) I thought to myself where is my friend Cynthia as I walked passed I looked over my shoulder several times and thought perhaps she went to our Melville site. I will miss seeing you and your smile. It was a great honor knowing you. God must of needed another angel because that is what you are.

Your friend forever,

Marty

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
