Dear Mikey,
I just want you to know that I love you very much and that I am here for you no matter what. I know that you miss your dear Gricelda with all of your mind, body, and heart. Please know that I feel for you, the entire family does, and that though we cannot hurt as much as you do or know exactly what you are going through, our hearts are with you. Please take care of yourself, big bro. I am praying everyday that God will help you through this and that in the end, you and Gricelda's family will be all right. Love, Jessica

I pray for your soul Ms. James...I didn't know you but we traveled the same route to and from the big city. What your family has experienced from this terrible tragedy will heal someone also affected by tragedy in some way. It will allow atleast one to pause and reevaluate his or her cause in this life. I hope that your family has been able to remember how you touched their lives and in dealing with your loss able to keep your memory alive. May your spirit be at rest among the Saved.

I chose Gricelda James as the person to honor with a quilt square for the United In Memory 9/11 Quilt. Her story, her smile, Michael's grief all touched me greatly and I feel very close to her memory. Gricelda, and your family, please know that a total stranger in California thinks of your often and knows that we will meet someday, in a better place.

Gricelda, I did not know you but I'm sure you were a wonderful human being. I have viewed your photo on the web and I have seen your husband on television. You husband misses you fiercely! He seems not able to go on with his life. Please help him to do this. He must go on, not only for himself; also for the rest of your family, especially children. They need him. Let him know that you are "ok" and that you will always be in his heart. He seems so down-trodden over your untimely demise, but you are in a better place, now. No worries; no fears. Everlasting peace and happiness...

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
