I didn't know Ken; I read about him on Marsh Mclennan's memorial website, which led me here. I feel a connection to Ken, as my family was also from Hicksville; my dad worked for Grumman in Bethpage. Although we left in 1965 and now live in Phoenix, I still consider it home. I am so sorry to all of Ken's family and friends for their tragic and untimely loss. I hope that in the years that have gone by you have found peace and many new joys.

I visited the 9/11 memorial site a few days prior to the New York Marathon. I decided to also run for one of the victims. I choose to run for Kenneth, as I did on 11/6, speaking out his name loud a couple of times during the race. God bless you. Ward Snijders, The Netherlands

After 5 yrs it is still hard to embrace the fact that one of my childhood classmates is gone. I remember Kenny from East Street School up through Hicksville HS graduation.
We grew up blocks away from each other and now we have been taken worlds apart. May God Bless Your Family.

I also went to Junior High & High School with Ken. We were in several music classes together.
I had no direct ties to losing anyone that day but knowing Ken for that short amount of time makes me feel as though I do.
God Bless Ken & his family.

The Rice family,
I just happened across this site and saw Kenny's name. I was thinking of camping and the scouts. It brought a smile to my face. Our deepest sympathies.

Today I learned that I lost a dear friend and my heart broke. I've known Ken and his family a long time.
I just wanted his mom to know that I did keep my promise "we did remain friends" though we fell out of touch in the last five years.
The world has lost a ray of light and I know that when I look up at the sky at night, the star that is burning the brightest is his.
God Bless, and all my love to you and your family.

To the Rice Family and Friends,
I did not know Ken, he was another person, on my daily commute on the LIRR. When I saw his photo, I remembered seeing him, walk to the train sometimes, and on the 7:29 AM.
Strange how you see someone on a daily basis, and then that person, who you do not know is gone. May God Bless him and all his family members, Thank you.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
