Dearest Naseema,
Reminiscing over that wretched day when we lost you along with many precious souls who met an untimely end. You were at the prime of your life and had many more years ahead to look forward to...many more achievements to make and many more years of making a difference in people's lives around you with your glowing aura.
Speaking to a friend today, I mentioned how I wished I'd met you once even, having met the rest of your family. Perhaps you were meant to reside forever in my thoughts. I will always remember my grandmother's praises of you as the sweetest and most loved daughter in your family.
Your life will remain an inspiration for generations to come. In Sha Allah.
May Allah grant you the upmost place in Jannah with the rank of a Shaheed. May your's and your mother's soul rest in peace. Ameen.

Dear Nasima,
Every time the news of that terrible 9/11 comes up, the first person I think of is you. I had known you since my school days whilst visiting your sister Salma. I was always so impressed by the humble and welcoming nature of your family and just as I miss you today, I know they must be missing you too. Pray that you are happy where ever you are and may Allah give your family strength. May your soul rest in peace in Jannat e Naeem. Amen.My husband Hussein is reading this and joins me in conveying the same sentiments.

Nasima and I were roommates and friends at Columbia and I only recently learned of her passing. Sadly, we fell out of touch. I am so sorry, Nasima, that you are gone now - I will always remember the fun we had together and I will never forget your beautiful smile and laugh.

Dear Nasima,
Although we only rarely saw each other at family gatherings you only sadly touched my heart after your death, and for that I'm so sorry. You are so truly missed by all that knew you, especially from all the stories my dad shared. May Allah bless you.

I never had the chance to meet you and that is most unfortunate. I have often heard that you were a lovely person and that my family grew up with yours, revering in the bliss of childhood and hardly seperating from one another. You were my aunt for seventeen years and i only found out through tragic events. I will always regret the fact that i never had the opportunity to meet you. May you rest peacefully in jannat and may god bless you with whatever you could not have on earth.

Dear Nasima,
Today, Sept 11, 2002, there was a memorial for all victims of last year's tragedy. After class i stopped by and was taken back by the sheer number of American flags on the Cathedral lawn. Each one had a name...among them, yours. They told us we could come back later and pick up one of the flags. On my way back to the memorial i passed what had to have been hundreds of students with flags, some with more than one. By the time i got there i was sure there would have been few left. There wasn't. There must have been at least a thousand left. I walked through, hands brushing against the flags as the wind carried them, as the wind carried you. I looked, as if for inspiration, for the one that i would take. No inspiration was found...at least none that i knew of. So i stopped, and grasped a flag...that flag was yours. I looked at the name. It was strange and foreign to me. I never once heard a name like it before. But it is a beautiful one. I never knew you...and never will. But today I call you my friend. You will forever be in my prayers. I wish i could have known you, or at least seen you before...perhaps I have...and perhaps i will again someday. Thank you for bringing this light to my day.
Your Friend,
Bill Reier

Though I did not know you personally, I know that we are relatives. I pray that you receive the best place in Jannah, and may Allah grant your family peace. Ameen.
When ever I see pictures of the WTC it is you that first comes to mind.
I have heard many stories about you from those who are related to us both.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Nasima,
To know that you are no longer with us is quite shocking. We worked together at BONY and though I did not know you well, I remembered your spontaneous smile and confident stride in the hallways. You had a memorable way about you and your lovely spirit will be missed.
