On this 20th anniversary, I was given Emmanuel's name to remember. I cannot express how sorry I am for your loss of your loved one. I did not know Emmanuel, but I know he will live in my heart and the hearts of all America. He was so young and it saddens me that he had so much of his life left to live. I pray you find peace on this day and everyday.

I work at an all girls Catholic High School in Southern California. Every year we hand out hearts with victims of this heinous crime. We have a prayer service and people share their stories - yes, we were touched by it here in Southern California too. This year I got Emmanuel's. I prayed for him and thought of his family all day on 9/11 - I keep looking at the heart with his name and keep hoping you know that there are many who grieve with you from the bottom of our hearts, even though we don't know you. God be with you all.

To the Afuakwah family,

May the wonderful memories of your loved one provide solace for you during this difficult time; and may God provide you with the assurance that you will see your loved ones again in Paradise. John 17:3

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
