To My Cousin Eddie:
20 years have gone by since that horrific day. Not a day goes by that you are not thought of. I see and speak to your mom and dad often. No amount of time heals this wound. My memories of us growing up together always brings a smile to my face. We will never forget you Eddie. Say hi to Marie, Marianne, Grandma, Grandpa and all the Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who are with you in heaven.
Love ya Cousin

Dear Eddie:
I cannot believe that it's been 15 years since that fateful and horrific day. Some days it seems like yesterday and other days it seems like a life time ago. Though so much time has passed - the pain of your loss doesn't get easier. I see your folks at least once a week at Mt. Carmel and their pain is always etched on their faces. The memories I have of us playing together when we were younger, getting together with our families at Grandmas's house for so many wonderful occasions will be forever etched in my mind and heart. Though no one misses you more than your parents and your family, I miss your company very much. Each year at this time the pain and tears come raging back with a vengeance. Please know that you and all who died on that horrific day will never be forgotten. Please continue to look out for your parents. The loss of your sister 50 years ago August 18th and you 15 years ago tears them apart each and every day. You were one great cousin to me and super God-Son to your Uncle Lenny and Aunt Marian. We hold you in our hearts and keep you in prayer every day. Please send my love to your sister, Marianne as well as to all our relatives who are in heaven with you. I ask that you please say a special hey to my dad - whom I miss deeply. Thanks Eddie.
You will be remembered at the 8AM Mass at Mt Carmel on 9/11. Aunt Marian has that Mass said for you every year on 9/11.
Love ya and miss ya lots my cousin. I send a very long distance hug to you. Rest in Peace m dear cousin.
With a very heavy heart, your cousin, Leonard

Went to 9/11 memorial on Sunday. Saw your name engraved on the beautiful reflecting pool & listened to message that your beautiful daughter Lisa left. I was very sad for you & your family . You were always a kind, caring & thoughtful friend.
May you continue to rest in peace Ed. May your family continue to find comfort in all their great memories.

The first time I visited the memorial site I chose your name as the person who I would pray for. Last week I returned to New York and found your name engraved on the beautiful fountain. Edward and his family remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I went to Mass on September 11, 2011 and on a table was a basket with names of those who perished on 9-11. I drew the name of Edward Carlino. I want to let the Carlino family know you are in my prayers. As I had dinner with my family last night, we said a prayer for the Carlino family. Jody, Audubon, PA.

Although we didn't know each other long enough, I will never forget you. Such a kind man with a great quiet sense of humor. I know you are in good company up there with all we have lost down here. Her light went out the day you were taken to heaven. Please keep watching over her as I know you do. Miss you!

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

Last night at my church, Prestonwood Baptist, in Plano Texas, they handed out profiles of the victims of 9-11. I was given Mr. Carlino. Please know that your family is in my prayers. From what I've read he was a very loved man and a believer in God. I'm truly sorry for your loss and I pray that God's hand is on you, giving you the strength and courage to get through each day.

Hi Dad, A year has passed already. I couldn't help but stay glued to the T.V. that morning. I wish that I could have been talking to you instead of listening to Hilary Clinton say your name. I got invited to New York to attend the memorial service, but I thought I had abetter idea. Remember how I was telling you about Dustin in my last letter? He proposed a few months ago, and he told me that he thought that instead of going to New York for 9/11, we should get married to honor you. I agreed, so that's what we did. We kept your picture at the altar with us. The minister was really great, and we asked him to say a prayer on your behalf. You would have been so happy.I miss you every minute of every day. I love you

Marie, my heart goes out to you today. I know of the great love between you and Ed because I was there when you bumped into him and I saw first hand how the two of you meant everything to each other. Remember that he will always be with you in spirit--he'll be in a soft breeze and he will be in the rays of sunlight. May God bless you and your family and don't worry about Ed because he's looking down and smiling at all of us.

Six months have passed since the horrific events of Sept. 11, yet it is still hard to believe that such an even could occur. I came to know Ed when he was dating my sister, Marie many years ago. Both coming from failed marriages, I immediately knew this match was meant to be. They had found the loves of their lives. Eventually Ed and Marie were married and he was a perfect fit into our family. They were very happy together and always acted like newlyweds, holding hands, putting their arms around each other - it was a wonderful thing to see. My three children adored Ed and loved every opportunity we had to spend time together. Whether he was discussing the Hamptoms with Robert, computers with Andrew or putting a puzzle together with Marisa, they always came away happy at the showering of love and attention. He treated them as if they were his own. Always a friend. It saddened me that Ed was not afforded the same good times with his own daughter that my children so easily shared with him. We will all miss the many Christmases where we had to keep Ed and Robert separated because we would laugh until we cried, the Thanksgivings where Ed made his famous potatoes, and all the birthdays and holidays at my mother's house where we shared many a cigarette on the stoop. I am sure he is watching over Marie, his parents and all his friends and family. We will never forget him.

Edward was a wonderful man and a loving husband. We found each other 15 years ago after each of us had been through less than perfect first marriages, and each day he let me know I was the most important person in his life.
I willl miss him forever.

I met Ed many years ago. He and my husband Dan have worked together for many years. I loved all the stories Dan would come home and tell me about Ed. Lisa it has been a pleasure speaking to you on the internet. I am sure your Dad is very proud of you. I hope they are there together watching over us.

May Edward's hard work and determination, his life and love live on in you. May the sorrow in your hearts be lightened by warm memories of times shared with Edward. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I worked at Marsh from 1977 thru 1989 in Data Control. Ed was an FCS person at that time and so I had alot of contact with him. He was very professional, knew his job thoroughly. I am so sorry this has happened. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I worked for Marsh and McLennan when Ed came to the company 27 years ago. Eventually, we dated and then got married, and had a beautiful daughter named Lisa Marie- Our daughter turned 18 on September 12, 2001. Ed was a very devoted dad. Ed was a hard worker and was dedicated to Marsh. He put the company on to the computer system working with the data processing department many years ago.
I will miss him deeply. May he rest in peace.

Ed is my dad. This has taught me that you really don't know what you have until it's gone. I don't know where to go from here. I want everyone to know that I love my dad, and that he was a great man. He always took care of me,and because of that, I am grateful. He always made me laugh when I felt bad. I miss him so much. This world lost a very special man that day.
I love you, Dad.
