Hi Auncle Baba. It's sarata Saidykhan. I've been thinking about you a lot over the past few years. Today more than ever. I am now 22 years old and I miss you so much. I remember your presence and the impact you had on our happiness. I just wanted to say we miss you so much. I don't know if Aunty Sharon will ever see this but we miss her and we love her too.
One day we'll meet again. Until then rest in perfect, perfect peace.

Baba was a childhood friend, we went to primary and high school together. He liked children which was his main reason to be a teacher after graduating from college. He later worked for the gambia cooperatve union before leaving for the US in 1992. I annually visited him since then and sometimes with my family. He worked and studied hard to realize his dreams.God did not call him to his graduation as a computer technician as he did not live to be part of it.It was on 911 that he planned to buy a gown during his lunch break and to shop for my wife who was with him on holidays from the gambia and about to return home when the disaster happened. My family's prayers and that of mine go to him, his loved wife sharon and his entire family.God bless baba.

911 has always been emotional for me, however, hearing a familiar name particularly from my country of origin made it worse. May his soul rest in peace with all other victims.I pray his wife Sharon, and the rest of the family in Gambia continue being strong.

We spent a few days with him and Sharon his wife the summer of 2001. We spoke for hours about his new job, his life, his future. My condolences to his family in Africa, and Sharon his wife.

I worked at Katherine Gibbs School. I met Karamo there. He was the sweetest person at the School and he was always there to lend a hand.
When I needed something from the storage room he was always there to help me.
He worked so hard and studied so hard to become a computer technician.
His life ended too fast even before he got to receive his Computer Technician Certificate. But I know he was very happy he conquered a career.
May God bless him now and always.

I did not know Mr. Trerra, but his name is the one that I remember most from that horrible tragedy 5 years ago. I was watching (I believe) CNN, and one of his family members (I think it was his sister-in-law) was interviewed. She was searching for him, and it broke my heart. To that sister-in-law, by repeating his name, you etched it in my heart. I was so sorry to learn that he was among the MARTYRS of that terrible day. May God bless and comfort your family. I will never forget this man I never met.

I was a reader at the ceremony at Ground Zero commemorating the anniversary of that horrific day four years ago having lost my beloved brother-in-law, Abe.
After reading his biography it was, indeed, an honor and a privilege to recite the name of Karamo Trerra. He was truly a hero. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife Sharon and to the entire family.
Sincerely,

I worked with Karamo at the Katharine Gibbs School. I remember that he was always there to lend a helping hand at work, while he studied and took classes as well. He was a real nice guy. God Bless him and his family.

Karamo Trerra was a primary school mate of mine, back in our old hometown of Sere-Kunda. I have not seen him, heard from or about him until now. A very bad time for us all.
My Prayers, Heartfelt Sympathy and Condolence to his Wife, Family and Friends.
May his Soul Rest In Perfect PEACE.

Although I didn't know Karamo, I was very touched by the profile I read about him. He seems to be the type of person everyone would want for a friend. May God continue to be with his family and friends.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
