It took me years to come to grips with the tragedy. I had been trying to call you for so long to see if we could get together or meet and go dancing. I was devastated. I still have your business card as I hoped it just wasn't true. In the years since, I have learned to smile and remember the beautiful person you will always be to so many. You still owe me a dance when we see each other again.

Dearest Alva,
I stumbled upon this site this morning and it brought me both sadness and joy. I am glad that you brought happiness to many and others saw in you what I saw as well. You were the best friend I ever had.

I think of you everyday, have a special place for our memories in my home, carry the friendship card you gave in the 1980's with me still to this day and find comfort in knowing that I will be reunited with you in heaven.

You were always there with me to share in the good times and one of the few to comfort me during the bad. I pray you are at peace and that you did not suffer on the day that will never be forgotten.
