Dear Wayne,
We didn't know each other, but I'm writing because I saw your photo as I was watching the memorial service today, and I felt connected to the deep look in your eyes. I want you and your family who were holding the photo to know that your positive energy is at work in the universe, and your courage to enroll in computer classes before you were taken from this planet is an inspiration that lives on. We are all blessed to have a spirit such as yours guiding our actions. May you be at peace, and God bless you always.

We grew up together in East New York, Brooklyn. Back then, everyone was family. Wayne spent many hours in our apartment and my brothers spent many hours in his. I will always remember Wayne as a friendly, caring person. I graduated and left New York, but whenever our family had something be it a wedding or a funeral, Wayne and the rest of the East NY crew showed love. Wayne will always be in our hearts.

Wayne was my first "home boy" I made when I moved from Tennessee to Brooklyn in 1978. The transformation for me was rough, but outside of my siblings, Wayne helped me adjust from being a country boy to a New Yorker. When I left for college in 1981, I came back with a message for the "420 Crew." "Take advantage of your education. It's free and no one can take it away from you." It really touches my heart that Wayne instilled that in himself and his children. The last time I saw Wayne was 2000 for my younger brothers funeral. Despite the occasion, we all laughed and joked about the fun times we had at 420 Georgia Ave and even posed for some "flicks." Wayne was a great family man and he is greatly missed. One love my brother.

I was so saddened to hear the news about Wayne as I was to hear about all of the other lives lost. Wayne and I worked together at Barthco Inc down on West Street in New York for several years together. He was not only a good person he was a great friend and he will be missed. We lost contact for a bit but we had that type of friendship where we could just pick back up where we left off if we bumped into each other.
He was a loving father and always striving to do well for his kids. For that and other reasons he will always be missed.
We love you, Wayne and may you rest in peace.

May GOD Bless you and watch over the family and friends that you left behind that horrible morning last September. I will never forget what happened and I still can not make myself understand the kind of hate that could do something this horrible. May you rest in peace forever more..........

I did not personally know Mr Wayne White, but my sister Shevonne Mentis, who was also a victim of 9/11, spoke about him so often that his name will be forever with me. I have pictures of him with my daughter and nieces when my sister took them to her job for their annual Christmas Party (Christmas 2000). The children loved him. May he rest in peace.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Mr. White as I would call him when we worked together at the WTC will forever be remembered by me as a man who deeply cared for his family and well being of his children.
It is his humor and smile that will always remain embedded in my memory.
