i met u but i was too young to remember, i was told u made everyone including ur mom (aunty )Pat laugh so much.I heard you were a down to earth guy who was ready to help anyone in need. But i wish i could have remembered u, so i could just have that warm feeling inside that assures me that my cousin is ok and he was loved for everything he did.The last call u made touched everyone, you said that u are ok,,,,and u are. I`m happy that you`ll never have no pain, that you`ll never be hurt...I love u cuz

Dear Fitzroy,
We never met, but I visited with your father in my role as a Pastor. He spoke of your mission to make sure your brothers and sisters were educated. Your father shared how much he admired and respected you. Your father is very proud of you.
Your family has been in my frequent prayers that they will continue to receive grace and favor from God.

Fitzroy,
I will miss you so much now that your gone. Going to the Bronx isn't the same without you being there. You are in a better place now where you can look down on all the people who love you. Your smile and jokes are things that will ever be forgotten.
Goodbye for now "Uncle" Fitzroy

I did not know Fitzroy but his story really moved me like so many of the tributes I read on this web site.
The many times that I hung around the WTC, whether around the sphere or attending the R&B concerts on Fridays or hanging out in the Borders bookstore, I'm almost certain that I have seen Fitzroy often around the WTC. Fitzroy's face looks so familiar. When I saw his photo, it resonated something with me.
To the family and friends of Fitzroy, you have my deepest, heartfelt condolences. I know nothing I can do or say can bring Fitzroy back, but I hope you find some solace in knowing that I care about your loss and all of the other losses that happened on that tragic day.
Please feel free to e-mail me whenever you want. I know you are going through a tough, difficult time, but I just want to extend my heart out to you. May God continue to give you comfort and peace.
Rest in peace Fitzroy my brother.
Sincerely,
Stephen McMillian

Fitz, as we all called him, was a wonderful person. I never met him in person, but dealt with him on pretty much a daily basis when the company I worked for partitioned the GenTel switch. He always took the time to help me out or explain something that was technically over my head. He was always kind hearted and I could almost see his smile through the phone. I was very upset to learn that he was among the many good people lost on that tragic day. I think of Fitz and the many friends from GenTel that were lost that day. God Bless.

I never had the chance to meet you but, he was a very good friend of my dad (Rhoda) and the rest of the family.
May god bless you Fitz and the rest of your family especially your mom. I understood that you are such a great guy. So if you were great to the people down here bet you are one of the greatest up there.
God bless you.

I used to have fun teasing Fitz about the number of NBA Jerseys he had in his closet. He was always changing allegiances, especially at playoff time...but he would never root for my team, the KNICKS. I will miss you Fitz, and will never forget you. You were a man among men. GOD Bless you

We are so very sorry for your loss of Fitzroy. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
