Louis Caporicci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 17, 2001.
LOUIS A. CAPORICCI, 35, of New York, a Cantor Fitzgerald vice president, was a huge fan of the New York Rangers. His basement was so full of memorabilia from the hockey team that his brother Joseph called it a "mini-Madison Square Garden." Caporicci was also "a very funny man," said his wife, Lori. "He lived every day like it was his last. I'm 1,000 percent sure he had no regrets."

January 2012 my husband and I visited the 9/11 Memorial waterfalls in N.Y. for the first time. I ran my hand over the black granite surrounding the falls and sent a silent, loving prayer to each person. When my hand stopped at the end of the last waterfall, I was surprised to see the name Louis Caporicci...my first name is Ricci (pronounced Rikki). Although my husband and I didn't know anyone in the 9/11 event, I felt that they all heard my prayers to them. God Bless!

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Hey Louie, RC here!!!! MY first job right out of college was alongside you at MS....doing callbacks/returns/laughing at Winston and the Big Fella.....hog and jog night at that place across from MSG, KISS concerts, that MET game we all went to, Grand Canyon/Blimpie fridays, watching the mafia get taken down across the street at the courthouse during lunch and making the big fella pay for whatever we needed!!!!! Things have changed so much around here since you left us those many years ago, but I still always think about the good times we had, and how you always made it fun to come to work each day. You were a great friend and I had the priveledge of knowing and working with you and your lovely wife and hearing the two of you talk about your beautiful daughters all the time. I am still so sad that you are gone from all of us, but I know you are looking down upon all of us with your Rangers jersey on waiting in anticipation for the next Ranger Stanley Cup!!!!! You will be missed greatly by all who have ever had the opportunity and pleasure to meet you my friend. I know I do and will remember forever all of our good times!!!!! My heart is with you and your family in these difficult times and I will always think of you when I need to put a smile on my face.

Love to all.......Kevin

Dear Louie,

I have such fond memories of you when we worked together at Morgan. You were always the crazy one and making all of us laugh. You made the day go by so much faster, so much life did you have.

I will always remember when you ordered 20 Chinese pork buns at 8:00AM for breakfast. You would have Big Joe go to St.Gennaros' Feast and pick up zepoles for lunch. You loved cheesburgers early in the morning too. You would participate in having a football thrown across the room on the 11th floor. You and Al were some team together. You and Lori were a beautiful team together.

Though you left and made your mark at Cantor, the times when we would talk on the phone, you would always recognize my voice. Louie, you may be gone from this earth, but you remain in my heart and in my memory forever.

Love, Fannie

Louie,

It seems like yesterday we were still together on the 11th floor in the BKLN office. I can still here you yelling across the room "Who wants pork buns!" at 10:00 in the morning. I have worked with a lot of different people during my years here at Morgan Stanley. Most of them were just co-workers, but you were definitely a friend. I miss talking to you on the phone about work stuff or even better, about the Rangers and what their chances were each year. But what I will really miss is your smile. Not many people can say they lived their life to the fullest. But, you sure squeezed about as much out of life as anyone that I ever knew. You will most certainly be missed!

Love,

Tom

Louis, rest in peace. The last time I saw you was for a happy occasion, cousin Tommy's wedding. We were all having a great time. Now all that laughter is replaced by tears. My heart breaks over your loss. I pray every day for your wife and daughters. I pray also for your mom and dad, two nicer people in the world are hard to find. Rest in God's loving arms and pray for the ones you left behind.

We are deeply sorry for your loss of Louis. May his life and love live on in you. Our hearts cry with you in your loss of Louis.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
