Francis was an amazing person if you knew him. He always had a smile no matter the situation going on and would always make you laugh no matter what. It's been 22 years since you died that day. I miss you Fran. Rest in peace.

Fran was truly genuine. I met he and Julie while dating a classmate of theirs from Marist. We became instant friends and had dinner with and Julie. He was the kind of guy who would stop his car in the middle of the street and pull over just to say hello. He will never be forgotten even now 18 years later, I still remember his voice and will never forget the last time I saw him about and a week before he became an angel. God Bless my Buddy Fran.....

Remembering 9/11 18th anniversary I typed Francis' name in Google to see if I can find a recent picture of my childhood neighbor which we shared so much summers in Maryann's pool. I moved out of 221 Garfield Ave in Jersey City NJ in 1980 and stopped seeing Francis since then. I remember him as a sweet and calm nice little boy. Every 9/11 anniversary I will watch the memorials and wait until his name is mentioned. After 39 years I finally see my friend as a grown up man in a picture. Belated condolences to his widow, sister and his father John.

I saw Francis' name on the ground zero memorial fountain this weekend. It was tragically sad, yet joyful to read about his life, the things he loved, especially the people he loved. With reverence and peace we said a prayer for him, for you, his family as you continue. Peace and grace.

My son is 22 years old and has just moved to work in New York and I payed a suprise visit to meet him last week and we visited the 9.11 Memorial. It is a very moving place and we took three names to try and find out a little more about and pay personal respects. Francis sounded like a special person and it is so sad for his friends and family for him to be taken in the way he was. Please accept my son,s and my own deepest sympathies.

Dear Fran,
I can not believe that 8 years have already come and gone since you left us to go home to Heaven and become one of gods angels. I still think of you and Julie on daily. I have not able to reach Julie in several years but pray daily for the safety of her and your daughter here on earth. I will never forget our friendship and pray that you are there to greet me when it is my time to come home.

I hope You, Dad, Your Mother and Your Brother are giving each other comfort.

Hello Fran,
On Thursday I visited ground zero with my fellow EMS brothers and placed a flower in the reflection pound and said a prayer to god as I do every year. I know that when we were there in 2001 searching for you I could feel your presence in spirit just as I did when you use to enter a room. I will never forget the fun times that Danielle and I had with you and Julie at the prom or when just being out. I will place an entry in this book every time I think of you. Your friend always.

Dear Francis, today I wore my United States Marine Corps Dress Blues Uniform in your Honor. I actually had treament at the hospital and every one was asking questions about the occassion. I told them about you and the oath I made in your memory and Honor.
I kept a file with me with your newspaper article regarding this tragedy and showed it to as many people as possible.
I made an oath that I will wear my uniform every 9/11 in your memory, and also, the bracelet I made in your name, I wear that every day, because I will not forget you. I will tell anyone willing to listen about you and your life.
I pray to our Heavenly Father that HE may bless your Daughter and Wife every single day of their lives.
Your memory will live on as long as I have a breath in my body. Nazario's are Together Forever!!! YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!!!

Fran and I were really good friends growing up. After the attacks in 1993 I asked him and his cousin Cliff, "What the hell are you still working there for." To which neither responded, Cliff came by to show off his Mustang, which I later bought. Fran is a fun loving guy who loved to laugh, I miss him. And can't explain how sorry I am for Jules and Lena...

Words could not describe today for us. We thought of you and the others. We thought of how this cowardly act changed our lives and we had no one in those towers. My heart ached all day. Everyone has gone about their business as if life went on after so many people died. I hope your family had received a blessing today in the midst of their desire to hold you and see you again. We know, by now you have probably met our son in Heaven and are looking down saying, "why are they still crying, we're loving it up here"...I wanted your family to know that THIS family was thinking of you too today and the many who are still keeping this nation protected....the ones who died trying...
From a proud mom of a Fallen Marine who died defending what they took from your family.

We never knew you. We never met. We never thought the cowardly act of 9/11 would change your family and mine forever....and yet it connected our families at the same time. You could not defend yourself or even know why, but our son and his buddies came to your defense without hesitation. His name is Ronald R. Payne Jr 23. His buddy Johnny Caracofe joined the Marines the day after 9/11 and is presently still serving in Iraq... he went back 3 times in 2 years. Unfortuately my son could not join him the last time..as he was killed 5-7-04 in a fire fight with some insurgents. The first Marine killed in Afghanistan. He went for people like you whose life was stolen from them without cause. He didn't have to meet you.....he knew, you deserved to be honored in this way. He gave the ultimate sacrifice...and I say without hestition, if he had to do it again, he would without blinking an eye...We would support him without pause. You and all the people of 9/11 who lost their lives deserve that. He is not here to continue the fight but rest assured his buddies are. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Our son's memory will forever hold you in our hearts.

Today, a few minutes ago, marked the 4th year of your loss, and this National tragedy.
I pray for all the victims, their families and friends, and I hope it has become easier for them to be able to bear and cope with their loss.

My Dear Francis, I don't think that a day goes by without me thinking about 9/11, you and the many victims and families and the impact all of this had on us and I still can't believe that it happened.
I know in my Heart that Dad is with you, and that in a way brings me feeling of comfort in knowing that you are also with him and that you are taking care of each other as Nazarios should.
We can only comprehend time as human beings, but to our Heavenly Father our time is "boundless, without beginning or end" so in essence, the time we spend here on earth is just a very minute moment in spiritual language... where everything counts for real. So cousin, I speak to you from the bottom of my Heart and I tell you that as a Nazario, I Love you and I know you are up there with Dad and soon perhaps we shall all make sense of all of this. I am sure by now you two know more about it than us down here. Can you do me a Big, Big, Big, favor? When you see Dad again up there, tell him that I really miss him and that there has been so many times that I wished he could be here with me. Tell him that I love him real hard and that I miss him again. And Francis, I know in my Heart you are a Guardian Angel as you used to take care of Uncle John, your Dad, now you are taking care of mine, your Uncle Charlie. May our Heavenly Father Bless your Wife and Baby and I hope they read this entry. I hope they could contact me. My email is [email protected] Well Francis, do your stuff and send the message, I'll be waiting for their response. God Bless,
Your Cousin,
Michael from California

It's been a very hard time knowing that you are gone since 9-11. We all still want to believe that you will show up but unfortunately reality is different. The sadness is now hitting hard again especially now that the weather is right for jet-skiing and we will not be out on the Raritan river or the Hudson river together anymore.
