I dreamt about you last night, Rafi. You said "Hey, long time no see, we miss you at lunch". I woke up happy but then remembered that you are gone. You were my good friend at work, for over 15 years. Hard to believe how long it's been since the last email from you, on September 10th, 2001.

We knew you so many years ago in Queens. You were such a kind and generous person. We hope your wife and children, parents and brother are well. Mireya and Family

Rafael Santos, what a great, great guy.I was a technician for Xerox and worked with Rafael, Sushil, and Milton on their laser printer.I always remember how he would yell out "hey goomba" when i walked in,how he would ask me if if wanted some food, and before i could answer, he would escort me to the company cafeteria to get something. All the great e-mails he used to send to me,the jokes.Just a great, classy guy.Rafael, may you forever Rest In Peace, and God bless your family.

You were my brothers' best friend and were there for us when we lost our mom. Our hearts broke when you left us too. We all miss you. You had a great sense of humor and we admire for the love and devition to your family. You were always hard working and a good person all around. May God keep you resting by his side. May you be your children's guardian angel each day of their lives.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

I didn't personally know you Rafael, but you were a friend to me for a year and 8 months. I only would like to say that I knew you personally, and when I read the list in AJC, I broke down crying. You were a guiding light for my year and 8 month friendship with you, and I only can hope that you rest in peace. To anyone who Knew Rafael-- Would it be possible for you to email a picture of him to me? I never knew him except through AOL, and I have always wanted to know who it was who helped me through my rough times
I Can't wait to see you in Heaven-
Love- Natalie

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
