September 22, 2019
God Bless Your Soul Forever, Dear Carole. It's been 18 years since you were taken from us, but it feels like only yesterday that we worked together in the Marsh Finance department in midtown, before you and so many of our wonderful friends and coworkers relocated to the WTC.
My love and prayers are with each of you and your memory will be cherished always.

just found out recently of ms eggert's passing. i worked with her at marsh in the 1980's. back then she was a secretary. i remember her dedication to all things big and small. so it is not surprising she went on to do better for herself. she was a nice lady and had a wonderful dry wit. so sorry to learn of her passing. my condolensces to her friends and family. may you rest in peace.

My name is MSgt Lisa J. Hillman I am from Springfield Illinoi. I am at Lackland AFB in Texas. Yesterday 9-11-09 the base did a memorial run for all of the victims of 9-11. Each of us had a banner on our shirts and I had Carole Eggert, I just wanted to say I was very proud to run for her.
God Bless your family

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

My cousin Kim Eggert visited ground zero and forwarded her message to me. I too send the most heart felt condolences for Carole's family and loved ones. May we never forget what happened on that horrific day, and the American values of liberty and freedom that were so challenged.

I was at Ground Zero last Tuesday, and while looking through the names of the victims, I saw Carole's name. I could not help but feel a bond to her since we share the same surname (no relation that I know of). I pray that Carole and all the victims of this terrible tragedy are new saints in heaven. I pray for Carole's family and all the families who have been left behind that God will give them the strength to persevere and the comfort in knowing that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
God have mercy on us all...

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I remember Carol from when I worked at Marsh. She was a cheerful, very helpful person, never too busy to smile and say hello. Rest in peace.

Many years ago, I remember Carole working for Mr. Ron Smith. She was a very hard worker, and always was in the office before she was supposed to be there. She always had a smile on her face whenever she passed by my desk. I was very surprised, but not surprised that she would still be there after all these years.
