To the Hinds family,
May God continue to comfort and bless you on this day and always. As a Trinidadian-American, I know that Clara is looking down from the heavens, and is guiding her loved ones and enjoying the beauty of the northern range. God's blessings .

Hi there,
My name is Andy, a student at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. To commemorate victims, of 911, every student was given wristbands with a name on it. Mine was Clara's. She sounds like an incredible woman, and I will share her story. Praying for her husband and family.

I worked with Clara at Rainbow Room and was so sad when she left to go to Windows. To walk into work and see Clara's face, when picking up my uniform, was always uplifting. She always asked of my family, and thanked heaven for good news of thier well being. I'm grateful to have known her. She was a light and I think of her often.

I went to mass right after 9/11 at Holy Name Catherdral in Chicago. Everyone at the mass was asked to take a holy card that had the name of a deceased loved one. On my card was typed, on blue paper taped to a holy card,"1203 Clara Victorine Hinds." I have prayed for her on and off during the 10 years and kept her card in my bible. I will never forget getting her name and claiming her as my spirit to pray for and remember. When I found out she was a seamtress I was pleased because I had enought sewing skills to make my wedding dress a long time ago; I could relate to her in some way. I am going to NY in October and plan to visit the site and remember her there and pray.

Dear Hubert,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I just want you know that that Clara is remember all over this wonderful land of ours. High school students from St Pius X made arm bands with each victims names on them and handed them out to everyone that they know and we have been wearing them for the last week in memory of all the victims of 911. I was lucky enough to get Clara's name. I wear it proud and honored. By what I read about Clara she was a very special women. You must be very proud and honored to have had her in your life for so many years. May she rest in peace and she shine on all of us till we meet in a greater place than earth. My prayers are with you and your family on this very difficalt day. May God bless and comfort you today and always.

I wear a MercyBand for Clara. I chose her name from a list of all the September 11th victims printed by our local newspaper. Her name jumped out at me. I did not know her but I had the pleasure of dining @ Windows on the World twice and felt a connection with someone that worked there, especially someone who would provide a behind the scenes but important job.
After reading the tribute to her and the thoughts of those who knew her and her husband, I am so proud to be one of those remembering her.
To Hubert, please know that Clara is in my heart and I think of her so often. I will never forget.

What a beautiful love story and a beautiful smile. So much love for her family reflects Clara's heart. We are very sorry for your loss of Clara. May Clara's seamtress abilities, her life and love live on in those who love her. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Through Hubert's Eyes
A Tribute to Clara Hinds by Tracey Groomes
Sometimes, although you've never met a person, you know them through the people they've touched. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Clara Hinds, I felt her
presence through a gentleman named Hubert Hinds. She and I might never have had the opportunity to go to dinner or spend any time together, but the smile on Hubie's
face belied the contentment of a person who liked his life and the woman he chose to share it with.
My mother always says, "If you want to know anything about someone's spouse; take a look at the expression they wear daily on their face. If it's happiness; then someone special put it there". I know in my heart that Clara Hinds was that lady.
I have not been at SONY long, compared to the years of dedicated service Hubie has invested here, but in my humble opinion you couldn't find a more mannerly, respectful,
gentle, giving, team player than Hubie. My first experience with Hubert was of being welcomed into the family of SONY Inwood. He has always held the position to us newer
hires as mentor, educator, wealth of industry knowledge and all around keeper of the SONY flame. Everyone here knows when you need to see a pleasant, smiling face to search for Hubie. I have never experienced anything other than kind moments in
his company. When you are the reason a person is like that, I know without ever having met you that you must have been an exceptional being.
Hubie was also a proud, doting Dad. He often spoke of his family with the immense pride of a Lion surveying and admiring his progeny, his two sons, two of greatest
achievements. The third being his marriage to Clara. He also told us about the joy his sons brought to the lives of both of them as parents, how successful he felt as
a man and father because of the type of men they grew to be and the contribution they made to the world as human beings. I have even heard him say he was a rich man. Rich in a way that had no price, but value beyond measure.
I think Clara must have been a rare woman to inspire the kind of devotion, dedication and love that Hubie wore as a part of his everyday demeanor. His disposition spoke to being touched by the hand of a compassionate, sharing and warm person. I, for one, knew her opinion of a few things without knowing her. She must have believed firmly in the institutions of marriage, church and family.
That is reflected in the commitment Hubie has as a husband, father and stalwart member of his church. When asked about marrying someone, Hubie would always say, "Tracey, I would do it with Clara all over again". I believe Hubie's wholesale
recommendation of marriage and being part of a union was due to the sunshine she brought to his life.
This is the lasting impression I will hold dear of a woman who, although I never had the experience of having her in my life, made such an indelible impression in the life of a man the caliber of Hubert Hinds.
