Dear Myrna, it's hard to imagine that 19 years have past, yet it still feels like yesterday and we still don't know the truth as to the enigma of why 3000 beautiful souls were sacrificed on this horrific day! Until that truth is revealed, just remember how loved you are and that your light will never be diminished. We will "Never Forget". RIP beautiful Myrna, may your memories be a constant gift of joy that you brought to the lives you have touched!

Thinking about Myrna today. It was 19 years ago today that I was sitting with my newborn and mourning with our nation. I pray that Myrna has rested in peace and is delighting in the arms of our Lord. God bless her and her family.

Myrna.. It is hard to believe that you were taken away from us at such an early age. I wish I would have stayed in touch but "life" happens. I think of you every April (the month that you were born). Matter of fact I think of you every month of every year and miss you dearly. We shared wonderful times in 5th cottage and I know you are looking down on us all. God bless . Amazing how 16 years have passed and like a memory frozen in time, it occupies the senses as if it happened yesterday.
I thought of you a great deal while preparing for Hurricane Irma. We humbly sent up prayers to our Lord and you're positive quote, "Never give up." alleviated the high anxiety during a dark 48 hours. May your light forever shine for those you have touched. As always, much love and thoughts to your family during this time.

This year I had the honor of reading names of some of the victims of 9/11. I was also given the opportunity to say a few words about you Titi Myrna. As your neice and Goddaughter, I hope I represented our family the way they deserve and made you proud. I asked you to help me not break down in tears as I spoke about you. I know you were there. I felt a very odd sense of calmness as I was reading and speaking about you. We love you Titi. We miss you but know you are always around keeping us in check .

Wilfredo and family,
I didn't want this month to go by without sending you my prayers for the 14th anniversary of that fateful day.
I had a chance to visit the memorial in August when my family and I took a small weekend trip to NYC. As we visited the Freedom Tower, I was somber. I didn't think I could find Myrna's name, when my daughter pointed it out. So much emotion came to me. I am grateful to have this connection and continue to pray for Myrna every anniversary. May God continue to bless you!

Dearest Myrna,
Lord knows we looked for you, that is Wilfredo and I, on that dreary day following the horrific acts of 9/11/2001.
Truth be told, I wasn't comfortable escorting your husband to the site. Not because I didn't want to, but because I wasn't sure how he would handle things, much less myself. Well, I found out early on what Wilfredo was made of. He was relentless in his pursuit of his loved one. In one building and out another until there were no more. His hope of reuniting with his loved one quickly fading as the night gave way to the stars. Still not convinced it was over, he asked that we go to the site for a second visit? Once again I was reluctant to take him there. He was not to be denied as he pleaded his case. "Okay Wilfredo will go, but it won't be until I get out of work. I'm fine with that he replied."
That day as I left work I hurried to pick up Wilfredo. As he got in the car I could see he was pained and at a lost for words. Riding down the FDR which was restricted to essential personnel became a concern for Wilfredo. " Don't worry, we'll get in", I said to him. As we reached the site and parked the car, we basically took the same path we had the night before.
However, this night seemed to be a turning point for Wilfredo. He channeled his anger into a positive venue. As trucks bearing food and health supplies reached the site, Wilfredo joined countless others in distributing the much needed goods.
Maybe it was his way of masking the pain? Who's to say, who's to know. One thing is for sure, he is a better man having gone through the experience and finding a silver lining in what might otherwise be seen as a day in infamy. Kudos to him and a big shout out to you. Something tells me you were there when he most needed you, and that's all we can ask of others.
Keep a watchful eye on us and help to protect us until such time we are able to join you. Thoughts of you always!
Sincerely,
Ramon Lassalle

I never had a chance to know you more than a quick "hi and bye" that summer, when I fell in love with your handsome son, Jarid. When I discovered you lost your life on that dreadful day, my heart sank for jarid. As time passed, Port Authority moved to 14th street and I was privelaged to work amongst a few of your survived coworkers, who had nothing but the nicest things to say about you. You are sorely missed.I hope that where you are now, you are at peace with our Saviour.

My mother and 3 Aunt's were raised at St Agatha's after their Mother died at the age of 31 from TB, then the oldest daughter Veronica Jones died at 16 from TB. The others stayed until they went to the 63rd Street Convent in Manhattan for high school. My mom, Mary and Aunts Rose and Ruth(Jones) are all gone now but the vivid stories my mother told of her years there are burnt in my memory.

Dear Sister,
You left us in such an abrupt violent way, a way that changed many lives forever. Yet, I know that you crossed into the light willingly, knowing that your chart here on Earth was completed. I know that you are now complete again and I also feel your love from the Other Side signaling your understanding of our pain and emanating love for those you left behind. Your human form did not plan this leave, but your spirit knew what God’s plan was. The year, months and day’s before September 11, 2001, your human Earth self had taken on a spirituality that you had not previously shown. You forgave those that hurt you and you were willing to part with many material possessions. Perhaps it was because you were going to begin a new part of your life.

To My Brother, Wilfredo Agosto, husband of Myrna: I will never forget how excited and happy you were when you first reconnected with Myrna in late 1999 and rekindled your high school romance. It was a match made in Heaven when you became husband and wife just five months prior to 9/11/01. Though it was a short marriage in the eyes of men, it brought together two people who had always loved each other and whose Souls are united forever. Be at peace, my brother, you'll see her again! To Wilfredo and the Rest of Myrna's Family.
10 years ago, my heart sank, along with the whole country's, at the news of that solemn day. I looked for a way to connect more deeply in condolence and looked up others with my same last name, and that is where I found Myrna's tribute.
Every year the anniversary was mentioned, I thought of her, and, today, I pray that peace continues to come into your lives and that you are confident that you have Myrna looking after your best interests from above.
May God's blessings be more evident to all of you as the years go by and as you continue to keep Myrna in your hearts.
Bendiciones...

After surviving 9/11 myself but losing 12 co-workers, I was beyond heart broken when I found out about Myrna a week later. I was so hurt to realize we worked side by side (me in tower 1 and her in tower 2) for almost 2 years but never knew we worked so close. I often imagine all the times we could've met for lunch or just a coffee break and the fun times we should've had... but in my heart, I believe she knows her lil Richie always loved her... even from afar. RIP my lovely cousin, you are missed in so many millions of moments.

My memories of Myrna are; of that wonderful girl full of life... a beacon of hope... in a situation of dispair for a lost child raised in a place called St. Agatha Home for children. Thank you Myrna, for the short time we all got to know you... it was well worth it.

In the aftermath of 9/11, many of us, although not directly affected by the tragedy, felt a great loss and deep sadness. I wanted to feel connected and looked for common ground. Dearest Myrna,
I think you'll be happy to know that after eight long years of sorrowful remembrance of having lost you, I, like your sister Frances and your niece Erika, are finally ready to celebrate your LIFE. You are now being referred to as our very own "Home Angel," someone who is always watching over us and that brings us comfort. You will always be missed, the difference is that now it'll be with a SMILE because we know we really haven't lost you at all; you're just "on the other side." Know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Oh Beautiful Myrna,
May you see our prayers and thoughts of love like burning embers that mirrors our world as the twinkling of bright stars on a cloudless winter night.
Here on Earth we will reflect the death of innocence as a nation and the untimely death of one our own!
A beautiful radiant person whose memory has raised a spirited consciousness of honor and courage, forging us to face the fears of uncertainty and hopes of galvanizing a nation that will valiantly stand guard and protect what is truly important to us, not only as individuals, but as a nation as a whole.
Know that you are very much missed by family and friends, thus we will cherish you forever in our hearts as our very own personal "Home Angel" that will be known for generations to come.
We rejoice your life on this most significant day of memorial.
Much love to your family always,

What a tragic day for all of us to lose you especially for your husband, family, friends and Homekids...they miss you terribly I am sure. I will always keep you alive in my heart, thoughts and prayers Myrna. One day we will all meet in Heaven and I hope you will be at the Gate to greet us with your presence. Please watch over us and lead us to the right path. May your spirit bring World Peace. God Bless you and your family.
Love Always,
Your Agatha Sister, Isabel

Dear Myrna,
It is that time of the year again when we remember you more intently than our daily memories and more intently than on your Earth birthday. This year, as I know you would want, the family will gather together in my home, as we did so often in your dining room, to remember you and thank you for all that you continue to do. We will remember your quick wit, snappy answers and how you and I formed a team to be reckoned with when playing games. Your nieces and nephews are now grown men and women who are strong forces in their individual ways. Their children, your great-nieces and nephews are already showing the Maldonado strength instilled in us by our father. We pray that you grow on the other side and continue to support and teach us.
With so much love, my heart hurting yet smiling and humbled at the light that you present.
Your sister, Frances
