Brian Chalcoff, now 8, and his brother, Eric, 13, used to fight to go to work at the World Trade Center with their father, William, on Saturdays. "My older one had to take homework, and my younger one would take toys," said Mr. Chalcoff's wife, Mabel. "For lunch he would take them wherever they wanted to eat — McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts to buy doughnuts — or to the toy store to get some little toy. He would try even to make that time special. Whatever my kids wanted, he'd get for them."
Mr. Chalcoff, 41, a computer systems developer at Marsh & McLennan, and his wife had come here from Argentina, and became citizens a year ago. "He was so proud to be an American," Mrs. Chalcoff said. He was also proud that his accent was disappearing and that people no longer asked where he was from.
"He wanted so much to be part of this country," Mrs. Chalcoff said. "Believe me, he worked so hard to become what he was in the position he was."
On the morning of Sept. 11 they were talking on the phone when she heard a very loud noise, and the call was disconnected.

Our hearts still grieve as we read about the heroes from that building on that horrible day. I pray for God to grant an extra measure of peace and blessing on Brian's family today. We will never forget. Much love from Texas.

recuerdo los lindos momentos que tuvimos cuando heramos chicos los 4 primos de la misma generacion Ruben Bubis, Daniel Zaposnhkof, Guillermo y yo Claudio Fisch que con el tiempo nuestras vidas se separaron y crecimos, y me dolio muchisimo saber de la perdida de este gran ser humano como dice mariana especial y buena persona, solo espero quien lea estas palabras recuerde siempre que el esta en nuestros corazones...su difunta madre era mi madrina y prima hermana de mi papi el Dr Enrique Fisch...Guille conce joy estes sen que estas cuidando a los tuyos y velndo por ellos y solo espero que el mundo sepa que la lucha no se termino y que tenemos que seguir encontra de todo esa gente que trtata y tratara de romper la armonia cotidiana de esta humanidad - Claudio Fisch Israel

Ya 5 años....me vienen a la cabeza millones de escenas de nuestra niñez...de nuestra adolecencia y por que no ...de nuestra adultez
un gran dolor, una gran perdida nos unio y tambien porque no, nos alejo,
tal vez tanto dolor por la perdida de nuestra mama provoco que nuestros caminos se alejaran
pero en mi corazon...estas!!

I worked with William until 1995 and then lost contact. Sometimes we would eat lunch together and he would tell me funny stories of his little boy and I would share stories of my son. We would laugh over silly things. He had a great smile and a great laugh. I pray for his wife and two boys that they find peace. God bless your family.

Aun no puedo creer que Guillermo haya estado en las Torres ese fatidico dia
El era una persona muy especial, con mucho temple, diciplina y determinacion.
No tuvo una vida facil pero pudo armar una lindisima familia que hoy lloran su ausencia.
Hace muchos años que no lo veia, pero recuerdo claramente su mirada , su forma pausada de hablar y su modo tranquilo de ser.

I read this tragic news because my causin told me what happened.
I dont know if we talk about the same person. Please answer me, I am argentine and maybe I was her mother's causin.
His grandmother Mina Garfunkel was my father's sister. We don't know anything about you for years and read this is very painful.
I wish this news will not true, but our family knows about tragedies.

This is a very strange coincidence, but I am Ricardo Fisch's first Cousin, who is married to William's sister Mariana from Argentina. I just heard from Ricky that they only NOW found out about her brother. I am so sorry for your loss, and I can't believe we live in the same town and didn't even know each other. If you feel up to it, please contact us. Again we are very sorry to hear of his passing and would love to help in any way we can..
