I am writing to express my condolences to the family and friends of Lyudmila Ksido. Just before Christmas, the catholic churches in Springfield, Ill. distributed four names from the list of victims of 11 Sept. in the Sunday bulletin, asking each parishoner to lend some support to their family and friends through our thoughts and prayers.
So I took my list of four names and lit a candle and said a prayer for them. Ms. Ksido is one of the victims whose name I was privileged to receive.
I want her family and friends to know that I am very sorry for their loss, and that you and Lyudmila are in my prayers.
May God keep and bless you and Lyudmila, and give you strength and comfort.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
